Chapter 22 : Ouranos vs The Supreme Deity 2

Ouranos exerted a pressure upon the Supreme Deity, she gritted her teeth while attempting to look like she wasn't affected but Ouranos could see through her façade.

Mael was still in the mortal realm of Britannia, although he was very far away, he could faintly sense the power of the Supreme Deity and one other unknown power that is also in the caliber of the gods.

Mael's face turned pale when he realized the existence of another divine being that he was completely unaware of and it seems that the other unknown power was somewhat hostile towards the goddess.

Mael then ran off towards the direction of Liones as he could sense the magical signatures of the sins, despite going on their separate ways, they somehow congregated into a single area. The gates that connected the Celestial Realm and the mortal realm were destroyed and he couldn't find a way back. 

His only hope was to seek for the help of the seven deadly sins. During his travels in the mortal world, he was going around collecting the graces of the fallen archangels. He mourned them and was especially depressed that he was the sole survivor.

Though he was still hesitant on using and absorbing the grace of the sun because it was no longer needed as Britannia was in a state of peace.

Merlin couldn't sense the magic signatures of the gods because she was busy focusing on trying to figure out what happened to Meliodas, she was in the middle of the process of reverse engineering the magic that was used on Meliodas with the magic that lingered on his body and surroundings, she still wasn't even close to having a breakthrough because the magic was carefully constructed by the Supreme Deity that not even Merlin could see through it.

"Hang in there, Captain" Merlins says, she knew Meliodas wasn't dead but his soul seemed to be missing. She even went to the capital of the dead and purgatory along with the other sins to seek out his soul. As Ban was the only one who could survive the harsh environment of purgatory, he went in alone, just like last time. 

Ban was worried about the pregnant Elaine, but she ushered him to help his friend once more and Ban agreed. Ban was no longer immortal and was worried he might grow old and die naturally but Merlin stopped Ban's time just like she did for herself to gain some sort of pseudo immortality, with a smile on his face Ban went inside purgatory to seek out Meliodas one more time as he said "Hang in there, my friend".

Back to the Celestial Realm

"My mistake, as I didn't think things through, it was not my intention to bring danger upon the residence in your world" the Supreme Deity says, though in subtle tone of irritation.

Ouranos seemed intrigued about the prospect of another world that the Supreme Deity keeps emphasizing.

He decided to put that thought later and just focused on getting information from the goddess in front of him.

He could tell she didn't really meant to cause harm to the mortals, although he could sense a bit of her resentment. 

Despite being the strongest god, Ouranos knew he doesn't really have that much authority over the godly community in general, he just usually acts as the observer or the neutral mediator if conflicts between gods occurs. Though he is the one that guides and scolds the gods if they act in an unruly way. 

He released his pressure and the tense atmosphere finally calmed down. 

Mael could sense this and sighed in relief, but still wanted to make sure that things don't escalate and headed to the kingdom of Liones.

"Very well, since it seems that you have no negative intentions, I can overlook this just this once, however I cannot condone if you 'experiment' one more time but just because I would turn a blind eye in your actions, it doesn't mean there will be no consequences" Ouranos says.
