Chapter 21 : Battle of Gods, Ouranos vs The Supreme Deity 1

Pick a side, ladies and gentlemen .... An Old Guy or a Headless Lady.

In an underground area, there sits a god on a throne, Ouranos. He is the god that manages the main political power of Orario, the guild. Even though the guild cannot a hold a candle against the military might of the Freya and Loki familia individually. They are still the symbol of authority that governs and maintains order in Orario.

Due to the backlash of the powerful magic casted by the Supreme Deity, Ouranos had to put more effort than he ever did before in using his arcanum in controlling the dungeon, if he loses concentration for even a second, the monsters that were trapped beneath the dungeon will climb up to the surface and cause widespread destruction.

Normally, if the dungeon feels the presence or power of a god, it would react violently, making it produce more powerful monsters than their average counterparts. That is the reason why gods or goddesses are not allowed to enter the dungeon.

However, the dungeon felt the powerful magic casted by the Supreme Deity even though she never stepped foot inside the dungeon herself. The aftershock of the magic alone caused stronger monsters to spawn inside the dungeon, killing many adventurers who were unfortunate enough who were inside the dungeon at that particular time. The Loki familia, who at the time were in an expedition were relatively fine due to Finn's danger intuition and avoided some huge losses but were still affected nonetheless.

But after a day or two, variants and the stronger monsters stopped spawning thanks to Ouranos.

Ouranos has spent the majority of his focus on controlling the dungeon with his arcanum, without the god of the guild, security measures in the city increased.

After  some time, Ouranos could finally relax a bit, he was in a state of constant tension. The dungeon had finally calmed down.

During the time when he was trying to manage the dungeon, he wasn't just focused on calming the dungeon down, he also tried to track down and identify the source of the magic. If he could identify who or what was the cause of such problem, there was a chance he could prevent such a predicament from occurring again.

Normally Ouranos is a peaceful type of god, an observer and an authority figure who remains mostly neutral and passive in most situations. He doesn't get himself involved in fights and wars but he wouldn't take this matter lying down.

He closed his eyes and sensed a golden trail of light with a hint of jet black seemingly originating from the sky.

As he is a god of the skies himself, he twitched his brows a bit and activated a power similar to astral projection as a spirit version of himself left his body. His physical body is still sitting on the throne so he could still control the dungeon while his astral projection would try to inspect the trail itself.

He approached the source of the trail and stopped when the trail was seemingly cut off. Overtime the golden jet black trail faded more and more but never disappeared, as if something was maintaining it while trying to hide its presence.

Of course, as a primordial god, Ouranos wouldn't be fooled, normal gods might be tricked even if they tried their best to sense it but not Ouranos, who even among the gods, was one of the most powerful of them all, at least in Danmachi.

He then sensed a ripple in space and probed into it. But an unknown force was repelling him, so he used more of his arcanum to force the tiny space fracture to open and sure enough succeeded, some gods that were nearby sensed it and wanted to go to its direction due to intrigue but when they identified Ouranos' arcanum they just backed off. Ouranos being forceful and using that much arcanum was a rare occurrence and knew this was a situation they don't want to be involved in.
