Chapter 29 : Tristan

After a long day fighting monsters in the dungeon, Bell decided it was time to head to the surface. After a long stroll in the streets and exchanging his loot for valis in the guild. Bell thought of joining a party or finding people who are willing to party up to finally dive into the 13th floor.

There wasn't anything that actually stopped him from going there but after Meliodas told Bell otherwise, he never stepped foot inside. Meliodas also taught Bell the importance of teamwork and working alongside other people, this was actually gonna be the next part of his training that Meliodas suggested for him. If he kept going solo in the dungeon, Bell would develop a skewed mentality, there is a limit on how much you can grow just by yourself. 

Even Meliodas during his time under the tutelage of Chandler, one of the highest-ranked demons as well as Meliodas' former master, required a friendly rivalry between him and Zeldris, to complement each other's growth.

Following this thought, he was briefly reminded of the red-haired blacksmith but even though they would form a party together, it still doesn't reach the qualification enacted by the new policy. He needed another party member that is level 2 or higher just to get proper approval to dive in the middle floors.

His line of thinking even briefly suggested that he should get Ais to party up with him, but knowing her status, he shelved those thoughts off.

After removing his armor and disarming his equipment, he planted face-first into the couch as he released a tired sigh then turning his body around as he laid on his back, staring at the ceiling.

After closing his eyes for a couple of minutes, it wasn't until Hestia barged into his personal space, looking directly at him with a smile that Bell finally opened his eyes. He was confused about the reason why Hestia was in such a giddy mood as he darted his eyes towards the case that looked expensive that was wrapped around with a cloth.

Seeing Bell's attention was focused on the object that she was holding, Hestia's excitement surged further as she exclaimed "Bell, Meliodas, you're not gonna believe what I got!"

"What is it?" Bell asked

"Here, open it, hehehehe," Hestia says

With his brows raised, Bell received Hestia's gift as he discarded the cloth and open the case revealing a weapon that a certain blonde boy was familiar with.

With both Bell's and Meliodas' eyes widened in unison, with surprise overtaking him, the latter accidentally took control of Bell's body as he exclaimed "Wait!, How did you get this? and how much did this cost? This looks expensive, there is no way we could afford this!"

Satisfied with his reaction even though she wanted to see Bell's reaction more, she motioned her hand in a dismissive gesture then said "You don't have to worry about that, I have an old friend who made this for me and I just wanted to be of help to you guys, seeing how hard you guys work, and as your goddess, I wanted to ease your burdens a bit" as she proceeded to speak, a red hue on her face continued to intensify.

The monster feria event was delayed due to obvious reasons, so despite never having a giant silverback gorilla chasing him around, this doesn't prevent the event of Bell receiving the [Hestia Knife] or now known as [Vestal Lostvayne] from happening. (What do you think of the new name of the Hestia knife? I named it on the spot)

With the annual event, Monster Feria being delayed, much to the chagrin of a certain silver-haired Goddess, her options on testing Bell were limited but this doesn't stop her from trying.

Meliodas now just realized that he accidentally took control of Bell's body, so after apologizing to Bell a bit, he released a heavy sigh and said "Let's just hope that we don't suddenly suffer a huge debt because of this." as he returned control to Bell.
