Chapter 40 - I'll Protect You

Sunday 28th September, 12:18pm // Grace's POV

I have finally got a part time job. I'm now working at a music store near me. I'm a bit glad that I have a part time job that I'm here in Australia, I just need the money right now to sort out stuff, especially when Michael said that we are gonna have two after parties? If his parents say yes, then who will sort it out cost wise? I don't want it to be me doing all the work, but thankfully I have Ashton, Luke, Calum and Michael by my side.

I'm finally now on lunch break, after 2 hours of work and 5 hours more. I checked my phone to check the time, I sigh peacefully and put my phone away in the back pocket of my black skinny jeans. Just a second afterwards, a text message popped up on my phone. I groaned and took it out again. I noticed it was a text from Ashton:

Ashton: "Meet me up on top of the roof xx"

The roof? The hell did that mean? Was I just going to find a way to get on top of the roof without security knowing? But yet then how did Ashton get up there? Who even knows I guess I'm going to find out myself. Security is pretty harsh here, people steal a lot of CDs and music DVDs that's why there's multiple security cameras and 3 security guards at the front of the store, but I guess I can't blame them, I would let Ashton protect me any time. I took a deep breath and walk outside. I turned to the side of the store and noticed there was a quite long yet steep ladder. Fuck I was scared of heights, but if Ashton could do it, then so could I. I gulp and slowly walk to the ladder. Once I was exactly in front of it, I viewed it from bottom to top. "Ugh here goes" I mumbled to myself. I placed my foot on top of the steel step. I looked up at the top of the ladder and noticed I had a long way to go. Fuck this is hard. 

I climbed up to the top, nearly falling over halfway up. Ashton was standing in front of me. He bent down and held out his hand for me to hold. As soon I got up to the last step, I held Ashton's arm tightly, just so I didn't fell, but it was that point where Ashton fell backwards, leading me to fall on top of him. I squealed and giggled and Ashton chuckles.

"How the hell did you get up here without nearly falling? I thought I was gonna die" I asked.

Ashton shrugs "Just magic I guess, like you" He boops my nose. 

I giggle and bury my head into Ashton's neck and kissed it. Fuck he was such a cutie, I love him so much. Ashton looks into my deep ocean blue eyes and I look into his rainforest hazel eyes, his eyes were beautiful. I lean towards him and kissed him passionately. At this point, his lips were soft, very soft, I could kiss them all day. Ashton smiles in the kiss and bites on my bottom lip. (A/N: Read at your own risk) I slide my tongue into Ashton's mouth. He softly moans and twirls his tongue with mine. I smile and pull away and sit on Ashton's lap. 

"The reason why I held out my hand was not only I was just helping you up, but knowing that we can protect each other from many situations, whether it's school, friends, two of Michael's parties" Ashton chuckles and tucks a strand of hair behind my ear "But you know what is the one thing that will always protect us?" Ashton looks at me with a relaxed face.

I shake my head "What?" I asked, furrowing my eyebrows and looking confused.

Ashton stares at my face from top to bottom "Our relationship".

I was completely speechless, my mouth was not left closed nearly leading me to dribble "Ash..."

"It's true, I wanna make sure that nothing gets in the way between us, and when we held our grasp before, it represents and symbolises our love, affection... protection" Ashton weakly smiles

I smile widely, leading close to a grin. God he was so magical with his words, he really understands and care too. Mini hearts float around all inside me. Never have I ever felt like this way too much before. 

I lean in more into him "I love you Ashton..." I mumble, close to be a whisper.

Ashton smiles and kisses me passionately and wraps his arms around my neck "I love you more baby"

After a while, we were still kissing, but we stopped for a mini break. Ashton came close to my ear and whispers "I'll protect you". The way Ashton spoke with his warm breath sent me small shivers down my spine. He'll always protect me, and I will always protect him.

YOOOOOO GUESS WHO'S BACK AFTER 7 MONTHS!!! I FINALLY GOT TO UPDATE THIS FANFIC AND I EXTREMELY APOLOGISE THAT I HAVEN'T, I JUST STARTED SCHOOL AND IT'S A PAIN IN THE ASS, I'LL TRY TO UPDATE THIS AS FAST AS POSSIBLE EVEN THOUGH I HAVE 6 ASSIGNMENTS TO DO (Ha...) ANYWAY HOPE YOU GUYS WERE EXCITED FOR THIS CHAPTER.
