Chapter Twenty-Five ~ Visiting

The next morning Jaehyun woke up and the first thought popped into his mind was he needed to see Nila. He got dressed and went downstairs to see Mina with Mi-Kyong. "Mina" Jaehyun called out and she turned her attention to him. "Oh Jaehyun, you're awake" she says and stands up. "Mina, today I'm going to visit Nila and see how she is doing. I want to bring Mi-Kyong so she can see her daughter and bring a smile to her face" Jaehyun said, and she nodded, handing Mi-Kyong to him. Jaehyun grabbed Mi-Kyong and was about to leave until she said something that made him stop.

"Jaehyun, please get my daughter out of there. She's the only one I have" she says. "Don't worry, I will" he said, and she nodded. Jaehyun left the house on his way to see Nila.

The day I got arrested, everything was happening so quickly that I couldn't keep my mind clear. When we entered the prison building the reality started to hit me. I don't belong here. I started to feel dizzy and felt like throwing up. I tried to keep my eyes open and focused on what I was doing. After being registered into the system, I was assigned where to go. I was walking with my stuff, and you can hear the women screaming and banging against the metal doors.

The guard opened the door, and all the new inmates went inside including me and the door shut and locked behind us. I decided to find a cell that was on the bottom floor instead of being in the upstairs cell. I went into cell number four since that's how many family members I will have in my little family once this baby is born. I looked to see there was a bottom bunk open, "Is this bunk free to use?" I asked and some of the women nodded, and some didn't say anything.

I unpacked the stuff that I carried in and set it down on the bunk, after finishing I then turned around to see that some of the inmates left all except one. "Hi, is that your son?" I asked her as I saw the pictures placed on the wall. "Yeah, he is six, what about you do you have any?" she asked me. I nodded, "Yeah I have a one-year-old daughter who is about to turn two soon and I'm also carrying one" I said.

"Wow, so your pregnant right now?" she asked, and I nodded my head touching my stomach. "Congratulations, but how did you end up here?" she asked, at first, I was hesitant but then I decided to tell her.

"That's crazy" she says shocked after I explained everything to her. "How did you get in here?" I asked. "I'm in here for stealing. I was trying to get diapers and baby formula, but I was caught" she said, and I nodded my head. "Well don't worry, we should help each other out" she says. I walked out of the cell and into the day room and I looked at the TV and it showed me being arrested.

Everyone then looked at me cheering and shocked but there was one girl who was glaring at me. Soon the day was almost over, and I was in my cell setting my picture down. I turned around and saw the girl glaring at me earlier in my cell. "So, you're the famous Mrs. Jung. A big hotshot doesn't you think? You decided to kill that woman's child who your husband placed in that girl" she said coming closer to me while her squad surrounded me. "No, that's a lie. My husband never had sex with her" I said.

"I don't care what your husband did. I just don't like baby killers" she said and then punched my face and continued multiple times. "Lou, the guard is coming" one of her friends told her, "I was done anyways" she said and then walked out the cell. I spit the blood out; I was thankful that she had only hit my face and not my body. I stood up and took some of the toilet paper and wiped off the blood. The same cell mate I was talking to earlier came and saw my face.

"OMG, what happened?" she asked, and I told her everything but also not to not worry because it was over and down with. That all happened on the first day but now here I am getting called out saying that I have a visitor. I followed the guard and I looked to see the door that says visiting room, but we didn't go there. She took me to another area. Once the door opened, I looked inside and saw Jaehyun. I ran up to him and gave him the biggest hug. I then started to cry in his arms while he tried to calm me.

We then pulled away from the hug and he cupped my face looking at me as I watched his smile drop. "What happened to your face?" he asked looking at my eye which had already started to bruise and the cut on my lip. "I'm fine, this happened yesterday" I said trying to reassure him but that didn't work. "No this is not okay. This is my fault, if only I hadn't messed around and led Yerin on this wouldn't have happened" he said. "That's the past Jaehyun. Let's focus on us and this matter" I said and smiled. Jaehyun sighed, "I also brought this" he says and picks something up and puts it on the table.

I looked to see Mi-Kyong in the car seat making noise. My mood changed and became brighter. I unbuckled her and picked her upholding her in my arms. "I miss you so much" I said and hugged her looking at Jaehyun.

"I missed you too" I said and stood up on my tippy toes giving Jaehyun a kiss on the cheek and then back to bouncing Mi-Kyong in my arms. "Nila" Jaehyun called, "Huh?" I said and looked up and Jaehyun was so close to my face. "Nila, I missed you, but don't you think I need more than one kiss".

I chuckled before giving him a kiss on the lips to satisfy him, I then sat down. "Jaehyun, I need to tell you something".
