Chapter Thirteen ~ Time flies

It's been five months, and nothing has really changed except for my stomach getting bigger and bigger by the minute. Jaehyun and I both get to find out the gender today but sadly Jaehyun can't come because of an important meeting. I finished brushing my hair and Jaehyun walked into the bathroom. "I feel bad that I won't be able to accompany you to the doctors," Jaehyun said back, hugging me. "It's okay, I know that you're a very busy man" I said and turned around in his arms.

Jaehyun smiled at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek before leaving. I looked at myself in the mirror one last time before heading out. I left the house and arrived at the hospital checking in. I waited for my name to be called and it finally was. I followed the nurse into the back, and she told me the doctor will be in shortly. While I waited for the doctor, I pulled out my phone and played games on it.

"Mrs. Jung?" I heard and looked up to see the doctor come in and close the door behind her. I put my phone away. "Yes," I said and smiled. "How are you today?" she asked and looked up from the clipboard. "I'm great, thank you, and you?" I replied and asked back. "Fine, so I hear you're ready to find out the gender" she said, and I nodded. I laid back as she put the gel on my stomach and looked at the monitor. I looked at the screen and saw my precious baby. "Congratulations Mrs. Jung, it's a girl" she said.

I smiled and kept staring at the monitor. After the doctor's visit I texted Jaehyun.

Jaehyun was in a meeting when his phone vibrated. He took it out of his pocket and saw Nila had texted him. I read the message and I couldn't stop smiling. The board directors kept giving him weird looks because they never saw Jaehyun smile in a meeting.

The meeting soon ended and Jaehyun bidded his goodbyes. After they left, Jaehyun rushed to his office and called Nila.

Nila- Hello, honey

Jaehyun- Yes, Nila I just finished my meeting and I'm about to leave but do you want to go out and buy things for our baby

Nila- Yes, I was about to call and ask you

Jaehyun- Ok I will see in a bit

Nila- Ok, I love you

Jaehyun- Love you too

Nila- Bye

Jaehyun- Bye

Jaehyun ends the call and Mark walks in. "What are you all smiling about?" he asked. "Well, it's because I found out the gender of the baby" Jaehyun said, and Mark ran up to him. "Really?! Tell me, I really want to know" Mark said excitedly. "It's a girl". "Aww, I bet she is going to look like Nila and have little features like those dimples," Mark said. Jaehyun couldn't help but feel so happy.

I was waiting for Jaehyun outside his company's building. I was waiting until I decided to sit on one of the steps. I heard footsteps approaching and I turned to see Jaehyun coming towards me. "Oh" I said and tried to stand up, but Jaehyun rushed over and helped me.

"Nila, you need to be careful," he said. "I wanted to wait for you," I said. "Oh, honey you didn't have to do that" Jaehyun said and gave me a peck on my forehead.

Nila and Jaehyun went to all different stores to buy things for their baby. They picked and chose different things to be prepared for when she arrives in the world. We decided to take a break and get some ice cream while enjoying our moments.

Jaehyun and I were holding hands when I felt pain in my feet. Jaehyun stopped walking and I looked up at him confused. "Are you okay?" he asked, and I nodded my head smiling. Jaehyun looked around and found a bench taking me towards it before sitting me down.

"I'm really fine," I said, trying to reassure him. "No, you're not. I know when you are lying" he said. Jaehyun squats down and unties my shoes, taking them off. He then starts to massage my feet and I smiled at how thoughtful he is. "Does that feel better?" he asked and looked up at me. I kissed his forehead, "Much better" I replied smiling.

The day went by quickly, so Jaehyun and I went to the last couple of stores. When we left the last store and saw Yerin standing outside. She had her arms crossed and glaring at us. "Why are you here?" I asked. "Oh, you must have forgotten that I'm also pregnant. While Jaehyun has been doing all the pregnancy care with you he's forgotten about me" she said.

The anger inside me started to boil and Jaehyun noticed it. "Let's just go" he said, and we both started to walk away. "Wait, I'm not done talking yet" she says and stops us from going anywhere. "Yerin, what are you trying to ruin my life and marriage? Is it because you're jealous of me? I'm starting to get sick and tired of your ass showing up any time you want" I said getting into her face.

Yerin just laughed, "Jealous huh? You knew that I wanted to marry Jaehyun from the start, but mom and dad just had to marry him to you but you're not actually my real sister because mom and dad adopted you".

I thought about what Yerin said and it helped me remember something. I did remember living in a happy home before everything turned bad and I had to go to an orphanage. I slowly looked back up to see Yerin smiling.

Nila looked so pitiful, and all Yerin could do was smile. Yerin pulled out her phone and saw someone was calling her. She answered it putting her phone against her ear
