It was while I am climbing into Jisoo's car later that I notice several textbooks, her laptop and backpack lying over her backseat. I put my backpack on the ground at my feet.
"Hey," She smiles at me, putting the car into drive.
"Hey," I reply, changing the channel on her radio. I notice her glaring at me as I do this, "What? I can't stand this guy!" Referring to the DJ that was currently talking.
"Maybe I like him!" Jisoo says. I can sense a warning tone in her voice. Normally, I would stand my ground and refuse to listen to it, yet I also knew that if we start arguing it is only going to make it harder for both of us to work together on her essay. I press the button putting the annoying DJ back on, but turn it down.
I see Jisoo smile slightly, thinking she won that small argument. I roll my eyes, pointing to a road taking us out of town.
"Turn here,"
"Where are we going?" She asks, turning onto the road.
"There is a café a town over that has Wi-Fi," I tell her, not needing to explain why we weren't going to the local café with Wi-Fi. I continue giving her direction until we pull up to the café I was talking about.
"Not what I was expecting," Jisoo says, walking into the café, backpack over her shoulder, carrying her books and laptop. From the outside, this place looked a little run down, yet when you came in it was modern and airy. That is one of the reasons I love this place as it surprises people.
"Let's sit over there," I say pointing to a booth by the window. We make our way over, Jisoo sliding into one side and me following. Jisoo puts her books on the table and as she is getting her laptop on and getting some paper out of her bag, I take the chance to look through the titles.
"You look surprised," Jisoo tells me.
"Yeah, these aren't your everyday basic textbooks, these are detailed, very detailed," I say, flipping through the pages.
She passes over a piece of paper to me, "Here, this is what I've got so far," I glance at the title before starting to read.
"Jennie," I hear Jisoo whisper when I am half way through reading her essay, "Jennie, I'm bored," She says, placing her hand on my thigh and placing a small kiss on my shoulder.
When she realises that I'm ignoring her, she sighs leaning back in her seat, keeping her hand on my thigh.
"Hello, what can I get you two today?" A middle-aged woman comes over and asks, just as I'm finishing off her essay.
"Two coffees, please," Jisoo answers for the both of us.
"How did you know I wanted a coffee?" I ask once she walks away.
"Well, most of the time I see you, you are either drinking a coffee or holding a travel mug, which I assume is filled with coffee. So, I thought it was a fair guess that that is what you would have ordered. Was I correct?" She asks, smiling.
"Yes," I say smiling back. I push her essay towards her slightly, "This is good."
"Yeah, well, Mr Shield's doesn't agree. I haven't got above a C in her class," She mumbles, looking down at the essay.
"Do you have your last essay?" I ask, pointing to her folder. She nods, getting it out for me. I don't bother reading it before skipping to the back to see the feedback given.
"Says here that you have all the points covered in good depth but your layout needs fixing," I say, "So let's just work on your layout first and see how it goes," I suggest.
