When you least expect it (Jensoo convert G!P)

Chapter 38

By the time Seulgi, Sohee and a few of Yeri's friend's arrived, both Irene and Yeri are ready. I have also quickly got a shower and changed into a pair of skinny jeans, converse and a cute top. I stand at the doorway of the living room, watching everyone.

Irene is standing letting Seulgi put a flower on her wrist. I take in her curled hair, perfect makeup and the red floor-length dress I had worn a few years ago to a dance. My eyes move from her to Seulgi, seeing the happy smile of Irene reflected there.

Yeri is standing beside her friends, all of them talking about the dance, laughing together. She is wearing the same dress she wore to dad's dinner thing a few weeks ago. She looks between Wendy and Joy, both of whom are here, with a hesitant smile on her face. I see them standing at opposite sides of the group, yet notice them timidly talking to each other, making me smile slightly, glad Yeri was able to bring them together again.

My eyes finally land on Mino and Sohee, both of whom were talking quietly in the corner, both looking like nothing in the world could ruin this moment for them.

"I'm sorry you can't go." I hear dad say as he comes to stand beside me. I glance away from everyone, towards him to see him looking at everyone.

"It's ok. There is one more dance at the end of the year, I'll just go to that one." I mumble, turning back to the group.

"Got the camera!" Mum says, squeezing her way between dad and I, into the living room. Just as I am watching her get everyone into position I hear the doorbell ring.

I push off the doorframe and make my way to the door, opening it to reveal Jisoo smiling at me with a charming smile.

"Hey, come in," I say, letting her walk into the house, closing the door.

"Hey, sorry I'm late." She says, leaning down to kiss my cheek. I smile up at her, glad that she is here.

"Come on. Everyone is in here." I say, pulling her to the living room.

The moment we walk in, I can see mum still ushering people to get photos. She is currently taking pictures of Mino and Sohee, both of them smiling at the camera, not caring mum was taking too many.

"Ok. Irene and Seulgi." She says, lowering the camera. I watch as they both go over to where Mino and Sohee were, getting ready. I feel Jisoo's arm go around me, making me lean into her as I watch.

"Right, now I want one of all my kids. That's right, Mino you to there, Irene, there and Yeri over here. Where is Jennie?" She asks, looking around before seeing me at the doorway. "There you are. Come on you are to stand here, between Mino and Irene."

"Mum. I'm not dressed up." I say, realising I would look out of place.

"Come on." She says, not giving in. I pull away from Jisoo reluctantly before going and standing where I was told to, us all wrapping our arms around each other.

"Ok. Smile." Mum says before I see the flash go off.

"Brilliant. Jisoo, would you mind if I got one of you and Jennie?" She asks, making me blush slightly, not wanting the attention to be taken away from everyone else.

"Sure." She says, walking over and taking the spot of where Mino was a second before. I feel her arm slip back around me before I wrap my own arm around her.

"Smile," Mum says, making me smile at the camera.

"The limo is here," Yeri says from the window. Everyone starts rushing about getting last minute things.

"Oh, wait. Jennie, I need you a minute. I forgot I wanted to give you something." Irene says, grabbing my hand and pulling me out of the room, into the kitchen. She grabs her handbag from the table and hands me two envelopes.
