I end up not telling Jisoo about dad knowing about us. I know I should have told her, yet every time I went to, I felt the words getting caught in my throat. What if she freaked out? Yes, we may have admitted we liked each other but we both knew this had to be kept a secret, we both knew that we could never openly be together. What if that was what she wanted? What if she only liked the idea of me being a secret?

These were the thoughts that flew through my head every time I went to tell her the truth. Irene and Yeri, of course, disagreed, saying that she had a right to know and it wasn't right for me to keep it from her. I knew they were right but I still hesitated.

For the rest of the week, Jisoo and I spent as much time together as possible, whether that be during school or after. It was difficult due to all the work we both had to get done for school and the fact that Jisoo's sister Soojoo had come back from Uni for the week. This meant that Jisoo's house wasn't an option, my house nearly always had someone in it, which also ruled that out. Plus, Jisoo and Soojoo don't get to spend much time together anymore, so I knew Jisoo wanted to spend some time with her as well.

Overall, it meant that we didn't actually get to spend that much time together. By the time Friday night comes around, we have only spent a short period of time together since Monday night.

"Ah, Jennie, I thought no one was home," Mum says, coming into the kitchen seeing me pouring myself a glass of orange juice.

"Yeah, Rosé got a text from Lisa asking to go out, so we cut our dinner short." I explain, "Irene should be home soon."

"Good. Remember I need you at the town hall at nine sharp tomorrow." She tells me, reminding me of the charity event she had signed me up to help at tomorrow in the town centre.

"Yeah. I know, Irene was wondering if she could go to the game with Mino before she starts?" I ask, already knowing the answer. I watch as she spins to look straight at me, an unbelieving look on her face.

"She knows she can't. I have already told her this!" She starts, yet gets cut off when dad walks into the room.

"Oh, I see this is a bad time," he says, taking in mum's annoyed face.

"Can you believe Irene is trying to get out of helping me tomorrow morning. Ahhh, this stupid charity event! Why did I offer to organise it... Of course, Sandara offered, therefore I had to offer," She says, starting to mumble to herself about Mrs Kim.

"Jennie, do you want to go get ice cream?" Dad asks, knowing that it is best to leave mum be when she gets stressed. I nod, following him out of the house.

Dad and I spend the whole trip to get ice cream talking about this new client that dad had got the other day. I can see how happy he is. It is clear that he is proud to get them. He mentioned that it was some high-end client, who had sought dad out.

"So, when do you officially start?" I ask as we drive back to the house, pulling into our street, the ice cream sitting on the floor at my feet.

"Not until Monday. I have a lot of paperwork to get filled in by then though." He says as we come up to our house. We both go quiet, as we take in the scene in front of us.

I notice Irene first, standing in the Kim's front yard. She is standing there, beside Mr Kim, Mr Davidson, Jisoo and Soojoo. They are all standing in a circle, Irene holding a box, which I realise is something to do with the charity event tomorrow, likely something mum has to give to Mrs Kim.

They all look over as we pull into the driveway. Getting out of the car, with the ice cream, I see Irene give us a look, suggesting she wanted to escape their company.
