"Funnily enough, I was looking for you earlier to tell you that Seulgi asked me to the cinema tomorrow night. Funny how you're the first person I went with that news, yet you couldn't even bother to mention me that you and Jisoo were hooking up!" She says to me, sounding annoyed.
"I know, I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you, I really did." I say, moving towards her.
"Then why didn't you?"
"You know why." I say, my shoulders sagging.
"No I don't. I know why you wouldn't have told Mino or mum or dad but not me." She whispers the last part.
"I'm sorry, I was embarrassed. I mean, come on, it's Jisoo." I tell her, feeling my cheeks redden.
She simply stares at me for a moment, looking slightly less annoyed than before.
"Come on."
I follow her upstairs to my room, where we both sit on the bed.
"Tell me everything." She demands, "and don't leave anything out or else I'll kill you."
"Only if you tell me about Seulgi after." I demand, watching her cheeks redden.
"Deal."
"Well, it all started with the kiss at the masquerade..." I start, telling her the whole story. The thing is, I trust Irene, trust her more than I trust anyone else. The thought of this makes me feel extremely guilty for not coming to her at the start.
"I knew you didn't go to Rosie's that night. You really are an awful liar."
"Now it's your turn." I say, repositioning myself so I'm facing her completely, giving her all my attention.
"Well yesterday ,just before lunch, I was putting books in my locker when she walked up and said 'hey'. I was so flustered I couldn't even respond, this weird squeak came out of my mouth! I was so embarrassed that I started walking away, when she called out and asked if we could walk together to lunch. I just nodded, not allowing myself to talk.
She talked the whole way to lunch about the game on Saturday. It was when we were passing the history hallway that she asked me if I was going to the game on Saturday. I felt more relaxed by then so I quietly said that yeah we were all going, to which she said that we should hang out after the game, to which I agreed. Then earlier today she asked what I was doing tomorrow and when I said I had no plans she asked if I wanted to go to the cinema with her."
"Oh my god that is actually so cute! I told you she liked you." I say, lightly slapping her arm in my excitement.
"I know! I am actually so excited. You have to help me get ready."
"Well duh." I say and we both laugh.
"Do you like her?" Irene asks all of a sudden.
"Who, Jisoo?"
"Yes Jisoo." She says rolling her eyes.
"No... I don't know. I mean, she is still the cocky, big headed, self-centred person she always was. But since that kiss, I don't know, I can't stop thinking about her. All I want to do is kiss her. I'd say it's more attracted to than liking her." I clarify.
"So, she is a jerk to you even when no one else is around?"
"Well, no, not exactly. We are civil to each other, I suppose. Tonight though, I don't know, it felt different somehow." I tell her, glancing towards my window.
"You promise to tell me if anything changes? Because this deal is a really stupid idea, and under no circumstances can you actually fall for this girl. Dad would kill you."
