Not surprisingly when I get home, I see a missed call from Jisoo on my phone. I decided to leave my phone in my room, so I wasn't tempted to text her.
"Don't you think you should at least talk to her?" Irene asks for the third time since I left Jisoo's hoodie on her car.
"No, I don't," I tell her, turning the channel on the TV for something to do.
"Guys, guess who has a date tomorrow?" Mino says, walking into the living room with the biggest smile on his face.
"From that smile on your face, I'm going to say you?" I reply, sitting up on the sofa.
"That's right, tomorrow I'm going out with Sohee," he says, sitting down between Irene and me.
"Where are you taking her?" Irene asks, readjusting her position on the sofa to make room for him.
"I was thinking just grabbing coffee in town," He tells us, making Irene and me turn to him with our eyebrows raised.
"Just coffee?" Irene asks like he was stupid.
"Yeah, Mino you should take her to the movies, or, I don't know, ice skating? Something fun," I tell him.
"Do you not remember how bad I am at ice skating?" He asks me.
"The point isn't to be good at it, the point is to have fun, something that means you can talk to each other, yet aren't in a situation where you are forced to talk. If it goes well then you go out for coffee after," I suggest to him, trying to help.
"Exactly!" Irene agrees.
"Ice skating?" He asks again, not convinced by the idea.
"Or something else, just make sure it doesn't put too much pressure on forcing conversation," Irene tells him, grabbing the remote from me, turning the channel.
"Ok, I'll think about it," Mino says, sitting back in the seat.
"What time you taking her out at?" I ask.
"She got the day off tomorrow, so I suggested after the game. I'm not going for pizza, by the way," He adds.
When heading to bed I lift my phone, checking it, realising that Jisoo only tried calling me one more time.
The next morning sitting in the bleachers, watching the game, I can't take my eyes off of Jisoo. The more I looked at her the more I want to text her, asking to meet up after the game, which I couldn't do. So, I force my gaze down to my lap, trying to gather my thoughts.
"You ok, Jennie?" Yeri asks, noticing me looking at my lap.
"Fine, just tired," I tell her, moving my gaze up, yet focusing on Mino, refusing to let my gaze move from him.
"Jennie, I honestly think you would feel better if you just talked to her," Irene whispers in my ear.
"No," I snap at her, making her roll her eyes, turning back to the game, not bringing it up again.
We win the game, yet it was close. We are currently standing at my car, watching as the team start walking towards the car park.
As soon as Mino and Seulgi come close, Irene goes and hugs Seulgi. She waves over to the rest of us, walking towards her car so they can go get pizza with the team. Yeri and I weren't going today, as I had to drive Mino back home so he could go out with Sohee. Yeri said she wasn't up to pizza and just wanted to go home.
"Congrats," I tell Mino while Yeri and I hug him.
"Jennie! Mino!" I hear a shout, looking over I see one of the guys from the team, Seunghoon, looking at us, "Party at mine tonight."
