You and Draco have been dating for a year and a half- that year and a half being the best of your life. Draco was a different man around you, he was soft and cuddly and gentle, very much the opposite of the Draco other people see. Draco in public holds a cold, strong reputation, his intentions always being to remain superior and powerful.
You won't lie, being in a relationship with Draco was far from easy. You, being the Gryffindor you are, hate the way that Draco acts when around anyone but you. You despise how he torments innocent first years when they "get in his way". You despised even more when he agonised your best friends, the golden trio. No matter how much you tried to persuade Draco to be nice to your friends, he wouldn't listen. Whenever he saw you alongside Harry, Ron and Hermione, he would stride along with his pretty face twisted into his famous smirk and begin to make snide comments towards your friends- but never to you.
You have pulled Draco up on this situation countless times, each of those times Draco promised you that he'd stop of course, you sometimes thought he said that just to shut you up because he never did stop. He mustn't of realised the amount of safeness inflicted on you when he calls 'Mione a filthy little mudblood, or Ron a dirty blood traitor, or Harry an ugly scar head. It saddened you immensely. Your boyfriend was putting you in an awfully difficult situation. But besides all of that, you loved him, and he loved you. You stayed with Draco because when he was alone with you, he was everything you could ever want in a boyfriend. He was calm, gentle, sweet and the best at making you laugh. He was a completely different person, this person being the one you loved, not the person who torments anyone who doesn't respect him.

It was a Saturday. The best day of the week in your opinion. You, Ron, Hermione and Harry all decided to spend the weekend by the oak tree in front of the Black Lake. The air was warm and the water rippled peacefully in front of you as you and Hermione began testing each other on the upcoming potions exam, and Ron and Harry began their game of Wizard's Chess.
You spent a good hour giggling and enjoying the sunshine with your best friends before it was rudely interrupted.
Draco and his two posse Crabbe and Goyle can striding along towards you and your friends. Hermione rolled her eyes and stood up while you , Harry and Ron remained seated.
"What do you want Malfoy?" Hermione snarled
"Just came to see my favourite group of dirt" Draco spoke without looking at you once, as if he was too scared to.
You stood up and placed a hand on Mione's shoulder. "Just leave it" you whispered into her ear, although she seemed to have ignored you.
Before anyone could say anything else Draco had grabbed Hermione's textbook out of her grip and thrown it into the depths of the black lake.
"Oh, shove off Malfoy!!" shouted Ron as he and Harry stood up.
You stayed silent but a worried expression was plastered onto your face
Draco laughed along with his bodyguards behind him. You gave him a stern look but he wasn't looking at you. He was too busy making fun of your bestfriend
"Oi Granger! Why don't you go get it? Some exercise might do you some good! Getting quite plump aren't we? You'll nearly be as big as that great oaf Hagrid"
Before Harry could shout insults back at your boyfriend you interrupted
"Draco shut it." You said quietly through gritted teeth.
He was your angry expression and took that as a sign to turn on his heal and stride off with his posse.
The four of you stood in uncomfortable silence for a few minutes before you decided to break it
"Hermione I-"
"Oh save it Y/N! We don't want your pathetic excuses anymore. You're so brainwashed! I mean...when are you ever gonna stick up for us?? He's your silly excuse of a boyfriend after all, and you just sit back and let him treat us like dirt! Some sort of friend you are" Harry looked you up and down with a disgusted expression on his face and turned away and started walking off with Ron
"Harry it's not-"
"Y/N I really think you should shut up before you make things worse" Hermione said before slowly following after Harry and Ron.
"Mione no I'm sorry!" you sighed...soon realising that it was too late and they'd all probably be going to the Great Hall to talk shit about you.
You slowly sat down beside the grand oak tree and hugged your knees.
Never had Harry and Hermione been so argumentative with you....but you sort of expected them to suddenly snap. You knew they'd had enough of Draco a long time ago...you just didn't think they'd blame you. You on the other hand, fully blamed Draco.
You stayed seated at the oak tree all throughout dinner. Not wanting to face your best friends or your boyfriend. You knew it wouldn't be long before your emotions got the best of you so you got up and started waking the corridors to the Gryffindor common room.
"Y/N! Why aren't you at dinner my love?"
You quickly turned your head to see your platinum haired boyfriend.
"Fuck off, Malloy"
"Oh dear, you're using my last name. What have i done now?" He said playfully
"What have you done??! You can't be serious?!" Your emotions suddenly bursted out of your body and you lost it
"N-no Y/N..I'm confused.."
You scoffed and could no longer look at his stupid face.
"You, Draco Malfoy, are the reason i've just lost my best friends!" tears were now streaming down your bright red face. "You just had to be so damn cruel didn't you? You think that it's okay because you know I love you, but you're wrong! It's not okay! Merlin I hate you! Dont EVER and i mean this literally...don't ever come near me or my...friends...ever again! I don't want to see your annoying face or hear your stupid fucking voice ever again!"
You noticed his heartbroken face but felt no regret.
"I've put up with your bullshit for far...far too long" you said quietly and coldly before you pushed past him, not letting him say a word back to you.
You left him in the middle of the corridor, tears threatening to spill out of his eyes as he watched you leave him. Oh how he wished he listened to you..He'd just lost the love of his life...he'd lost the only one he felt comfortable with...he lost the only person who put up with his bullshit...and it was nobody's fault but his own.
