Chapter 11 - interrogation

I spent the rest of the day at Erwin's as neither of us had lessons, it was great having a open door to his personal life and I learnt more about Erwin, one weird fact being that he has an irrational hatred towards country music.
I stayed there until it was later in the night before walking back to the dorms, staying on the phone to Erwin the entire time as he wanted to make sure I got back to the dorms safe "Right I'm at my door now, I'll see you tomorrow" I opened the door to the dorm and saw Ymir at her desk on her computer, she spun her chair to look at me as I told Erwin goodbye and hung up. "Where did you get that cardigan from? You didn't leave with that?" Ymir raised her eyebrow, a slight smirk creeping up on her face as I rolled my eyes and walked to the fridge taking out some extra food Erwin made for me to bring back, for a history teacher he was insanely good at cooking.
"And food?! This ain't takeaway shit either, where have you been?" Ymir began to pry, she took one of the pots and began to inspect it seeing a label at the bottom of one, she flipped the pot upside down holding onto the lid and read the label "defiantly not takeaway this is a fancy pot from one of those fancy cutlery places, you were with someone!" I groaned and took out one of the smaller pots with just rice and chicken balls in it, walking to my bed and sitting down as Ymir span her chair over to me "It defiantly wasn't that criminal science guy you were talking about, nobody takes criminal science and can afford fancy pots." Ymir leant forward as i ate, I refused to answer her or give her any answers in case I would accidentally slip up. "Oh my god... you've got a sugar daddy, you're meeting up with rich old men and getting money for it and their maids make you meals for you to bring home!" Ymir gasped thinking she cracked the code, I chuckled to myself and raised my eyebrow looking at her, probably the most stupidest thing I've ever heard from her "even if it was a sugar daddy, which it's not! Wouldn't they have chosen more expensive pots and not random ceramic pots?" I finished my food and put the pot in the sink to clean it tomorrow, I took the cardigan off and gently hung it up to have Ymir quickly jump up and begin investigating it, for someone who takes an art major she had an eye when it came to suspicious behaviour, never giving up until she knew the full story.
I groaned and laid down in my bed just wanting to sleep the rest of the day off instead of being pried at for answers.

The sun shone into the room as my alarm echoed,I groaned and reached out for my phone turning off the alarm to see Ymir awake laid on her phone "good you're awake, so if it's not a sugar daddy and not a criminal science kid, is it an English major? English majors always wear shit like that and own ceramic pots!" Even first thing in the morning she started back up with the prying like she was a private investigator, I got out of bed and blanked out her rambling as I got dressed throwing on some blue mom jeans, a white turtleneck and Erwin's cardigan on-top.  I put some regular makeup on and brushed my hair throwing it into a ponytail and took out some loose ends draping them down the sides of my face, "no matter how much you pry I'm not going to tell you" I sighed and opened the fridge taking out a wrap and throwing it in the microwave, Ymir groaned and slouched back down into her bed only to jump back up
"is it a teacher?" I couldn't lie hearing her say that formed a lump in my throat, I raised my eyebrow and shook my head and let out a chuckle trying to blow it off, "god you are straying further and further away" hopefully that convinces her that she's just taking wild guesses now, Ymir sighed and walked to the microwave as the microwave dinged, she forced it open and took a bite out of my wrap before putting it in my hand walking to the door "I'll find out!" She raised her hand and grabbed her toiletries bag and walked out to what I could assume was the showers.

I finished my wrap on the way to class and now could hold my hot chocolate with both hands, it was getting deeper into October so it began getting colder, I liked the cold weather so it gave me an excuse to layer as many clothes as I could, I got to class a bit later than usual and filled in with everyone else, bumping into Eren "watch it shortass" Eren chuckled to me as we took our seats, Eren's glare strengthened as he looked at the cardigan and forced my arm up as he began investigating it, is everyone going to treat me like a test subject today?
"Why are you wearing a guys cardigan?" His raspy voice rumbled in my ear, I shoved him back as he was too close for comfort and all I could smell on him was cigarette smoke and cheese toasties.

Erwin POV
I saw that (y/n) wasn't in class as early today, hopefully she's not Ill, maybe I should text her? I leant into my blazer pocket about to take out my phone as the class filled in, "watch it shortass" I heard from Jaeger, I looked up and there she was, holy shit she's wearing my cardigan. I felt my heart begin to pound as she walked in, not wanting to drag attention to her I looked away and took a deep breath, god she's so adorable. While preparing for the class I could hear Jaeger taunt (y/n) about the cardigan, if anything is gonna get us caught I hope it's not as stupid as a cardigan of all things. "I got it from home okay? My mum sent me a parcel that I had to pick up from the post office and it had my old cardigan in it along with some essentials" I heard (y/n) snap back to Eren, god she's good at lying, if I wasn't the one who gave it to her I'd believe that easily, Eren scoffed and definitely didn't seem pleased with that answer "bullshit, what was the essentials that came with it then?" I picked up my coffee and took a swig out of it, if she's that good at lying I can't wait to see what she's gonna say in response, she put a finger up to Eren and pulled out some.. tampons?
"They're expensive here so my parents buy me bulks of tampons every month along with anything they wanna also send me" she lied through her teeth, I looked at her in shock and cleared my throat as this was going on for a bit too long now and I had to start class.
"Right (l/n), Jaeger enough bickering. Today we'll be looking at Hades' side of the capture and his relationship with others"

Y/N POV
Erwin broke us up as I huffed putting the tampons back in my back, Eren leant forward and whispered in my ear "still think it's bullshit" I groaned and leant back in my chair looking at Erwin before leaning myself sideways towards Eren "carry on interrogating me and I will kill you and your entire family" I failed to threaten him, only to have Eren smirk and whisper in my ear "that's a shame, my dad left me and my mum died of a heart attack" my eyes widened as I slapped my hand on my mouth trying to hold back a laugh, not that Eren being a orphan was funny but it kinda was in that sense, a quiet laugh escaped his lips as he nudged me before putting his attention back into the class, I took a deep breath calming down from the laugh and saw Erwin handing out sheets, shit I was too busy calling out Eren being an orphan I didn't take notice into what we're doing with these sheets, Erwin walked over and handed me my sheet and looked at me deeply, my eyes meeting his I just wanted to throw myself at him but I kept myself composed. "Mr.Smith so what is it that we're doing with these sheets?" Eren bit the bullet and asked the question for me, Erwin had a more sharper tone when talking to Eren but I could guess it's probably being how I'm always focused in class if Eren is sat behind me and not beside me. "Well maybe if you were listening and not trying to distract (y/n) then you would've known. I want you guys to write down as many facts that you know about Hades and his relationship with other people, per example his brothers, his mother, Persephone ect" Erwin walked back towards his desk and placed the remaining sheets down, I instantly started scribbling down notes before feeling my phone vibrate against my thigh, I picked up my phone and saw it was a text from Erwin, for an old man he's sure fast at typing I didn't even see him pick up his phone.
Erwin- you wanna come over again tonight? Xx
I chuckled and chewed on my bottom lip and replied
Me- Sure! Xxx
"(Y/n) get off your phone." Erwin spoke sternly, knowing full well he's the reason why I'm on it anyway.
