Chapter 15 - Diana

I got back to the dorms and held in my anger, I can't believe he fucking lied. He said they just dated, didn't mention anything about being engaged let one being married.
I saw Ymir was out and sighed putting my bag down and checked my phone, 3 missed calls from Erwin.
I called him and put it on speaker as I got up and grabbed myself a bottle of beer from the fridge, I didn't drink often but today was an exception "hey.." His voice quietly spoke, I opened the bottle with one of Ymir's lighters and took a swig before putting the bottle down "so when you told me about your ex you did happen to miss out on telling me that I don't know, that you were married?!" I grit my teeth and took a swig, I could hear Erwin sigh through the speaker as I sat down on my bed "I know I'm sorry, I should've told you, I just didn't want to bring up the marriage as that shit was horrific" I leant against my wall as I looked over at Ymir's side of the room, noticing the slowly decaying plants on her shelves, I stayed silent as I kept on drinking letting Erwin try and explain himself "Look after class tomorrow, come to mine, Diana wants to have a talk with both of us, I have no idea why but I want you to be there with me" I groaned and put the bottle down, I really don't like the bitch but if it helps Erwin and gets her to fuck off fine. "Fine, I'm still pissed off at you though" I sighed and poured the rest of the beer into the sink, not really wanting to drink it in the first place. "I'm sorry, Sleep well princess I'll see you tomorrow, please don't stab me" I couldn't help but let out a chuckle as I quickly put my hand on my mouth not wanting to break so easily, "I'll try not to, just hide the kitchen knives" I could hear Erwin chuckle through the speaker as I leant back in bed, I smiled softly and played with the sleeve of Erwin's shirt "goodnight Bub" I hung up and turnt my phone off, I am really not ready for tomorrow.

I barely slept much last night, spent most of my time staring up out the window as I listened to the city around me. I woke up at 5am to get ready for my 6am class, I didn't have classes with Erwin on Thursdays and it was mainly filler classes today with a couple of break sessions, I picked up my phone and saw that I had a missed call from Erwin, I called him back and put the phone down on my desk as I got dressed, making sure to wear loose and easy clothing in-case I had to beat Diana's ass at this stupid dinner, Erwin didn't end up answering the phone so I sent him a good morning text hoping to get a response later on. I finally got dressed and walked to my filler class, it was on feminism in modern day society so I got away with doing extra research on goddesses for Erwin's class.
I sat  in my seat and continued taking extra notes about Hera, representing the union of masculinity and the feminine and being devoted to commitment and partnership.
I didn't really have any friends in this class so I kept to myself a lot, didn't talk to anyone and just kept myself distanced from everyone, I felt my phone vibrate as I looked down at it seeing it was a text from Erwin.
Erwin- sorry for late reply I barely slept last night so I didn't wake up until just now
Me- It's fine, I didn't sleep well either I couldn't stop thinking about that bitch
Erwin- I couldn't stop thinking about you, I feel so bad for lying to you I had no right to lie to your face like that

I spent the rest of the day texting Erwin before I finally made my way to his, I knocked on his door as Erwin opened the door "Hey come in babe" i walked in and pecked Erwin's lips and saw out of the corner of my eye Diana sat on the dining table staring at us, I pulled away and looked at her "You want a show or something? If you wanna see me fuck your ex husband so bad you should've come earlier" I smiled and put my bag down, I didn't like lying especially about Erwin but anything to piss her off. I sat down at the dinner table looking at her, I crossed my leg over and glared at her "to think my sweet little Smithy went for a snarky little bitch like you breaks my heart" She sighed and leant on her hand, I nodded and chuckled taking a sip out of my water bottle as Erwin walked over staying quiet as he sat next to me  "Erwin hates being referred by his last name unless it's by his own students and you're 50 years too old to be a student of his" she growled and slammed her hands down on the table, I raised my eyebrow and held back a smirk "careful of the porcelain Diana, wouldn't want an ogre like you breaking the beautiful table" I skimmed my hand over the top of the table and hummed leaning back, Erwin raised his hands and looked at us both "enough you two, Diana what did you want to talk to us about?"

Diana sat down and took a deep breath before crossing her arms "Fine, no need to sugar-coat it. I'm getting back with Erwin by the demand of his parents, they like me" her eyes glared me up and down "They would hate you" I scoffed and looked at Erwin holding onto his hand under the table, using my spare hand to itch the back of my neck "I'm sorry I'm all for feminism and defeating the patriarchy all but last time I checked arranged marriages are illegal" Erwin finally spoke and let go of my hand to put them both on the table to emphasise his point, I took a sip of my water as I watched the fury in his eyes "You really think you can come into my house, harass my partner and think I will fall into your arms?" Diana's face softened when speaking to Erwin, really trying with the manipulation, she reached out for his hand for me to drop a candle ontop of her hand "oops? Yeah no you're not getting back with Erwin, I'm sorry you got such a shitty adult life so you want to regress back into the past and pretend you're happy and not a wrinkly old bitch with daddy issues anymore" Erwin got up and sighed walking to the kitchen getting himself another coffee, I looked over at him as I felt Diana's eyes stare into my soul "do you want me to jump over this table and beat the shit out of you little girl?" The ginger witch growled, I smirked and leant forward on the table seeing she was close to bubbling over the edge
"Feeling froggy? Leap" I dared her, she let out a growl before jumping over the table and tackling me to the floor, I grabbed her hand after she punched me and kicked her in the stomach off of me, I wiped the blood off my nose and kicked her in the face "come on then get up froggy. Don't wanna get beat up by a little girl do you?" I smirked and looked down at her, I grabbed her by her feet and dragged her away from Erwin's furniture not wanting to get any blood on his stuff. "You little bitch!" She shot up and pushed me against the wall and punched me in the face this time hitting my eye, I grit my teeth and rolled my eyes "right I'm bored now" I grabbed her head and jumped up pulling her head down to my knee and kneeing her in the face, i kept hold onto her hair and opened the front door before throwing her out "I think the motel down the road is looking for hookers at least then you'll get a roof over your head" I picked up her bag and threw it at her after emptying it on the floor, I smirked and wiped my mouth ignoring the swelling of my left eye "If you come anywhere near Erwin again I'll leave you on a drip in the intensive care." I slammed the door shut and took a shakey breath before gritting my teeth, Erwin was stood in the corner of the kitchen the whole time just watching it all frozen, He ran over and cupped my face in his hands. I expected to hear him criticise me for getting physical with Diana but I was surprised to feel him kiss me softly, I rested my hands against his chest and kissed him softly and winced from pain coming from my nose and eye, "you're such a goddess it's terrifying.."
