Chapter 14 - Mutt

Turns out I fractured Marco's nose and he was not very happy with me, so much so he sent me a paragraph about how disappointed he was, I groaned and turned over in Erwin's bed putting my phone down as Erwin walked in "Stop worrying yourself over it, he pushed a boundary" Erwin sat down next to me and handed me a cup of hot chocolate, right after elbowing Marco in the face I walked back to the dorms before going out to Erwin's, I had to let off some steam and luckily Erwin was happy to be a hearing ear as I ranted to him all night. I felt kind of bad after elbowing Marco, I know he was just trying to be nice and be flirty like old times but I hoped he would grow out of his lack of care for boundaries.
"That's another reason why we broke up, I wanted to break up with him before prom but his parents already bought a limo for us then I couldn't feel like I could tell him no" I sighed and put the cup down before laying back, I stared up at the ceiling at Erwin's hanging plants as I grazed my hand against his thigh "do you have any nightmare exes?" I looked at him hoping to hear a horror story so I'd feel better about Marco, a chuckle escaped Erwin's lips as he laid down beside me staring at the ceiling "yup, my last relationship actually, she was an art major" I felt a gag run up my throat as I laughed, of course he would attract an art teacher, either that or a poet "we were together for 7 years from when I was 18 up until I was 25, it was alright at first but when she started majoring in uni, pottery as-well it wasn't even like abstract canvas art it was ugly pottery" Erwin chuckled and raised his hand stretching it out, I thought for a second before raising mine up and holding his hand "like ugly cups and bowls?" I chuckled as Erwin's face lit up as he erupted into laughter, I could listen to his laugh all day, it was low yet genuine and filled with joy, he held onto my hand and nodded "I had to eat my breakfast out of those bowls it was like having cereal through a pipe it was horrible!" It was great having Erwin talk for once instead of him just listening to me, we both dropped our arms as I still held onto his hand, I turned sideways and looked at him as he stared back at the ceiling "our relationship was great and all but she was so controlling, choosing what I would wear, who to hang out with, she nearly forced me to study art with her instead of history knowing full well I wanted to be a history professor" I rubbed circles into his hand and kissed his knuckles, she was definitely much worse than Marco, Erwin sighed and turned facing me "She sounds like a nightmare" Erwin nodded and moved my hair out of my face "she was, it's a shame cause we were such good friends before we dated" our faces were inches apart, I leant slightly in and kissed his nose, a smile spread on Erwin's face as he quietened down looking at me "what?" I furrowed my eyebrows as Erwin leant forward and pecked my lips, I pecked his lips as he pulled away "You're just perfect" Erwin looked at me with a soft smile, I felt my face heat up as I turned over facing away, I hate how easily he makes me blush it's like it was a superpower, I could hear Erwin laugh from behind me. I groaned and felt his arms snake around my waist and pull me close, his lips pressed against my shoulder as I looked back at him, his eyes meeting with mine "You're too sweet, it's slowly killing me" I rest my hand ontop of his and kissed him softly.

We stayed like that for a couple of hours before propping ourselves up, Erwin went off for a shower as I did some work on the assigned project on Erwin's laptop he let me borrow "What's your password again?!" I yelled, the bathroom door was slightly open as I heard the water splash onto the bottom of the porcelain bathtub "Amber1986" Erwin responded, I typed the password in as I got into his computer, his background photo was the same photo of himself, Hange and Levi that was hung up "hey who's amber?" I shouted from the bed, by my guess it's probably is his mum or maybe even his sisters name. I heard the shower turn off as Erwin walked out of the bathroom with a towel loosely draped around his waist, my eyes widened as my eyes scanned his body, so much muscle definition, he was extremely fit and built, my eyes followed the shadows on his torso and glazed down his abs and at his v line, I felt like I could be drooling at this sight "Eyes are up here" he gripped onto my chin forcing me to look up at him, I felt my face heat up as his thumb grazed my bottom lip "Yes sir" I leant forward before pausing seeing a call request come from the head teacher "shit I got a online meeting thing, you go for your shower while I do it" Erwin took off his towel to already have boxers on underneath, I huffed as I moved out of the way as Erwin quickly got dressed before answering it once I was out of shot from the camera
"Right hello everyone we need to talk about the festival coming up and funding" a voice came from the computer, I stood behind the computer by the bedroom door and thought before smirking, I took off my shirt and shorts in front of Erwin not really caring I was just in my underwear, seeing his face slowly heat up as I picked up a towel from the rack and slipping my hand behind my back unclasping my bra with my two fingers. Watching him gulp as I turned around keeping my back to him as I dropped my bra to the floor before walking to the bathroom.

I finished my shower and dried myself off in the bathroom, I got back into my underwear as I looked myself in the mirror as my makeup melted off my face, out of the corner of my eye I saw a little pile of clothes placed on the countertop as I picked them up and saw that it was one of Erwin's shirts and my shorts but noticing they were cleaned, I smiled to myself as I got changed into them and walked out. Erwin was still on the call as I hummed to myself staying quiet, I couldn't help but think about Erwin's ex, she sounded horrible and toxic. Hard to think of Erwin being with such a controlling person, he's so sweet and I guess that can sometimes be his weakness.
Erwin walked out from his room, I hummed to myself and made us coffees as he walked towards me, his arms snaked around my waist as he rest his head on my shoulder "What you doin" he spoke gently, his breath tingling against my neck, I used my free hand to stroke his hair and leant against him "Making coffee, sorry if it's shit I'm used to using the cheaper stuff not this expensive kinda coffee" I chuckled and slid his cup to the side so he could reach, I could feel Erwin's soft lips against my neck giving gentle pecks along my collarbone, "hm that's fine as long as you're here" he spoke into my neck as I stroked his hair, the doorbell went off as I looked at the door, Erwin's grip loosened as he looked at me, I took that as a hide while I grabbed my coffee and walked off to Erwin's room hiding in his room, I sat on the bed and couldn't help but listen in, a sultry female voice came from outside the door
"What are you doing here?" I heard Erwin, I sipped on my coffee before hearing footsteps coming towards his room "I'm going to be in town for a couple weeks and thought I'd meet my favourite professor" her voice was beautifully low and raspy, she swung open the bedroom door and my eyes met hers.
"Diana no.." Erwin refused to raise his voice, so this was Diana, she was gorgeous.
She had beautiful waved ginger hair with slight highlights which sat just above her shoulders, she was wearing a yellow beret and had sapphire earrings dangling from her lobes that were ever so slightly stretched, her eyes were a bright shade of green that contrasted perfectly from her pale skin.
"Who's this?" Diana's eyes met mine, as beautiful as she was I knew that behind that structured face was a bitch.
"Uh this is (y/n), she works at the university as a criminology assistant to Levi. (Y/n) this is-" Erwin tried introducing me to her, I could see how uncomfortable he felt as I got up and realised the height difference, she was closer to being Erwin's height than mine. "Diana I know, didn't think your place was a hotel now? Did I have to book?" I glared at her, if Erwin doesn't want her here I'm not going to try and humour her.
Compared to my pyjamas she was fairly overdressed, she wore a long geometric jacket that fell down to her ankles ontop of these dark blue trousers and a off-white patterned shirt, the mix of patterns not working at all, she looked like the body shop mascot.
"Ok so you're a little feisty! I don't really appreciate being spoken like that by someone who dresses like a measley little teenager, so I'd like to have a word with my ex husband alone please" she said with a smile on her face but very passively aggressively, I felt a sharp stab in my chest once she said ex-husband, I looked back at Erwin hoping he would assure me that she was lying but he just looked down refusing to look at me. I picked up my bag and smiled looking at Diana "of course, make sure she's on a lead though babe don't want her pissing on the rug." I barged past her and kissed Erwin softly even though I wanted to scream at him, I pulled away and looked back at Diana and copied her cheesy fake smile "mutt"
