Coming home

Mia is now 3 days old, I can't believe I've got a daughter in my arms. Will is sorting out our bag whilst a breastfeed Mia, am liking feeling her with my breast, it's like a comfy for us both, she must be hungry today she's been latched on for more them 30 minutes. And she's also fallen asleep. She's adorable tho.

Right babe, have I've packed everything. Yeah I think you have, we only have 2 hours till we leave. Right am going to go put this in the car, and get the car seat out. Oh yeah, forgot we need that. Hey Will can you gently pick Mia up and put her in her cot, am gonna try and have a shower. Yeah of course, erm do you want me to help you. I think I might be ok, but if I do I'll call you. Alright babe, right I'll be back up in 10.

I get into the bathroom, take off my clothes run the shower and hop in. It's the most painful shower ever, there's so much blood in the tub. I get worried so I ring Will and tell him to come back up and get Kate. I put my clothes on, I leave my underwear off so that I can see where the blood is coming from.

Hey babe, you alright I found Kate. Hi Emma, what's up. Well I was showering and there's a lot of blood in the tub. Alright, I think your stitches have just come out, I'll have a look. If you would like to lay on the bed, I'll have a look for you. Thank you, if they have Will I have to get new ones. Yeah they have, it's nothing to worry about, I just need to re stitches it, it will be painful. Oh god, Will hold me hand. Right that them done. I would also suggest putting a pas in your underwear so if you bleed again the pad will collect it. Thank you Kate.

Your welcome, right am going to come back in a minute I just need your to sign a few forms then your free to go. Aww brilliant.

Right let's get her changed and dress. I've got her outfit out, a nappy and her car seat is here. Perfect, can you pass me the wipes please. Yeah of course. Aww she looks cute, in this outfit. Yeah she does.

And your all done beautiful girl. Come here for a daddy cuddle. Aww you love her don't you. I love you both. I feel like she's going to be a daddy girl. Yeah I do too, she loves doing skin to skin. Yeah, she didn't leave your chest after she was born.

Right I need you both to sign here, her and here please. What are theses form. They are proof that you have had permission to leave the hospital and that she has a name. Aww brill, Will can you sign there. Yeah of course. Right you may leave now. Thank you so much, for welcoming Mia into the world and for being there. Your very welcome, congratulations again. By the way the nurse will be round on Monday to check how your both getting on and to check Mia's weight. Perfect thank you. Your welcome, enjoy parenthood and you've still got my card incase you need me. Thank you.

Right are we ready to go home. Yes, let's go home my two princess. Aww come on daddy. Wait can I just take a photo of Mia in her car seat. Yeah go on then. Aww cute. You ready now. Yeah let's go.

I leave the room with Emma behind me, I stare down at Mia just watching her sleep, I can't believe am walking out of hospital with a beautiful baby girl. I turn around to see Emma taking a photo of me and Mia. I stop and wait for her. Emma are you finish with your photos now. Yes, I just wanted to get that one it was cute. Are you ok walking or do you need a wheelchair. Am alright, am a bit stiff and sore but am ok.

Right Em are you sitting in the back with her. Yes, just want to make sure she's ok the drive home. Yeah, I understand. Hey listen would you like me to stop off at a drive thu get us some lunch. Yes, please can we get pizza. Yeah of course, there a pizza place on the way home.

At pizza drive thu: Hi there what can I get you please. Hey, can I get a medium Hawaiian pizza, a medium meat feast pizza, a large fries and a large coke. Yes is that everything. Yes please. That will be $20 at the next widow. Thank you. Hi there, that's $20 cash or card. Card please. Here's your food, enjoy. Thank you.

Back at home: Right, you get the pizzas I'll get Mia. Alright babe. Well it feels weird not being here for 3 days. Yeah I bet, would you like me to take her out of her card seat and put her in her Moses basket. Yes please, she can't be in her car seat for more then 2 hours until she's 6 months. Hopefully she will have a few hours sleep so we can eat and sort everything out. Yeah hopefully she does, her last feed was at 11 so she's not due for another 2-4 hours so she's due her next feed at either 1 or 3. That's good, right let's eat.

In the kitchen: It feels so strange that there's a baby in the house. Yeah, it's weird how there was just us two to know us three. She is adorable tho, I still can't believe we made sure a beautiful baby girl.  Me either, I love you both. Aww I love you lots too Will.

I still can't believe I was in labour for 30 hours. Me either it was the longest 30 hours ever, but at the end of it, this amazing human being can into our lives. That's true, still can't believe she's ours.

That pizza and fries was amazing. Yeah it was night today. Hey babe, am gonna go for a quick nap before Mia wakes up if that's ok. Yeah that's fine, sleep well, love you. Love you too, wake me up when she's awake. I will do babe.

It's been an hour and a half since Emma went for a nap, Mia has been asleep for 2 hours and she's still asleep. She must be really tiered. Whilst Mia and Emma sleep I replied back to everyone's congratulations messages and put a little post on my story. Me and Emma haven't announced that Mia's born or her name. We are when she's like a week old. Only Brooke and Jake have put something on there insta stories with mine and Emma permission.

An hour later, Mia starts crying. I rush over to her Moses basket which is in the living room corner. I lift her out and rock her, I cry her upstairs into mine and Ems bed, I place her in the bed next to cot. And wake up Emma.

I wake up to Will, saying Babe wake up, Mia's awake and I think she's hungry. Oh hey, where is she. I put her in the cot next to my side. Hey there Mia, is someone hungry. Here she is. Right Will I need you to hold my boob whilst I get her mouth to latch on. Yeah sure. Ready and go. Aww there we go, she really does love you breast milk doesn't she. She does, I mean my boobs are so sore but for that beautiful face.

She look gorgeous, feeding from your boob. Will eyes on her and not my boob. Am sorry, it's been a hard 9 months for me, you got to understand. Well I was speaking to Kate before when you were out of the room and she said that we can have sex again in 6-8 weeks, because of my stitches we have to wait that long till they heal. Really, that's good, hopefully they weeks hurry up. Will we just had a baby and your thinking about when we're next gonna have sex. Well yeah, it's hard for a man, you have to understand. I get it don't worry.

30 minutes later: Right it looks like she's finished, she's fallen back to sleep. Aww little cutie, do you want me to put her in the cot next to me. No it's alright, I'll put her next to me so if she wakes up again am right next to her. Alright, right shall we try and get some sleep. Yeah, am so tied.

I take my joggers and top off, am just in my boxers. I get into bed, laying next to Em, we both face Mia, and just stare at her. I kiss Emma's cheek and fall asleep.

8 hours later: I wake up to Mia crying and screaming, Will is still asleep. I get my breast out, and pick up Mia and start feeding her. I look at my phone whilst Mia is feeding. Me and Will haven't announced on Instagram yet about Mia, but Will, Brooke and Jake have just put a story on what's cute. It's been 30 minutes and she's stopped feeding and fallen back to sleep. I put her back in her crib next to me and fall back to sleep. I put my arms around Will and fall asleep.
