Part 24: The Big Three

Accelerator's POV

Accelerator: So this is my life huh? I'm living with a caged monster inside of me while in constant danger of losing everything along with myself. Ha, his luck really is contagious.

It was about 5 minutes past my alarm and I had been released from my dreamscape. After receiving the news about my existence, I had to question, who am I? That train of thought was cast aside when I heard a light knock on the door.

Last Order: "Accelerator, are you in there? Breakfast is ready" says Misaka Misaka wondering why you aren't ready like you always are.

Accelerator: I'll be there in a minute, I overslept a little.

She said ok then left skipping down the hallway.

Accelerator: Well for now I guess I should just focus on my original objective, to keep them, especially her, safe. If that old man has a plan then I'll overcome the odds and destroy it along with him.

After that I got up l, got ready and left my room to go to get breakfast/coffee. After reaching there I was greeted and served by Yaoyarozu. I noticed that most of the boys were not present there, probably stayed up too late. Misaki came up from behind me and asked if I was okay.

Misaki: Accelerator, have you been feeling alright, like yourself lately?

This question confused me and Yaoyarozu who was still there.

Accelerator: Huh?

Yaoyarozu: I think you'll have to explain more clearly Misaki, it wasn't exactly a normal question.

Misaki: I meant if you had been feeling different in any way.

I had no idea why she would ask such a random question but after last night, could you blame me for not caring?

Accelerator: I'm fine, there's nothing wrong with me.

Misaki then seemed to notice something on my face.

Misaki: Did you not sleep well? You have circles under your eyes.

Accelerator: Nothing a little coffee can't fix.

Misaka had entered the room for a while now, though Misaki hadn't noticed.

Misaka: Oh? Aren't you rather bold Misaki? Already getting into the newlyweds routine.

Misaki blushed really hard to the point where I couldn't tell her apart from a tomato and tried to justify herself, but failed miserably.

Misaki: Th-thats n-n-not it! I was only asking how he was! Is that so bad!

Yaoyarozu: Now now Misaki, you should be more honest or else you'll break his heart.

Both of them had teased her to the point of giving up and crying from embarrassment. I had a pretty neutral and not really caring expression.

Accelerator: I don't see why you're so embarrassed. I already know you have a crush on me.

Misaki: What?! Since when?!

Accelerator: Since that stupid Island, we had an entire conversation about it.

She paused for a second to remember the conversation at which point she got a little embarrassed once more but she remained relatively calm.

Misaka: Oh yeah you did talk about that didn't you.

Yaoyarozu: Yeah she did.

Misaki: So um, when can I get an answer?

Misaka: Yeah it's been a good few months, you should have an answer by now.

I thought for a second, taking recent events into account.
