Part 9 Magic

(A few days after Sports Festival)

Accelerators POV

After the sports festival i had more or less become a celebrity. Every time i walked in the corridor people around me would start whispering and staring at me and girls would also giggle. And it wasnt just among the first years, second years along with third years were curious about my power as well. I even received challenges from third years and some second years, which i tried to avoid but they'd try to fight me regardless with the teachers allowing the fight, maybe to just show them how weak they are. It wasnt just me either everyone who made it to the final round and showed extraordinary power were victims of the stares and gossip but for some reason im the only victim who got challenges.

Misaka, Shokuhou and I tried our best to walk down the hallways trying to avoid the stares and whispers, it was easier for me since i could block sounds but awareness can be annoying sometimes. In class Nemuri told us that the result for the internships were out already and that we needed hero names before we could choose. She wrote down the number heroes asking for a specific student and for whatever reason i got fewer than Bakugo and Todoroki. Though this was surprising to everyone at first it all made sense once everyone talked about it. Apparently having a 'heroic' family background can get others attention as well well as acting like a decent person can overshadow power. People didnt want me because i was too "scary". In my opinion those heroes when faced by a massive threat wouldnt think twice about running back to their mommies.

Nemuri: Alright now I want all of you to pick your hero names, so just write it on the white board in front of you and show it to the class.

Author's note: It should be obvious but im only going to name the character who i myself introduced to the series, the bnha characters names are going to be skipped.

Shokuhou had apparently already decided her hero name since she was the first one of us to present her chosen title.

Shokuhou: My hero name will be Mental Out, the Mind hero.

Nemuri: Oh so you decided on naming yourself after your quirk, i like your style.

After a while Misaka went ahead to present her name.

Misaka: Railgun.

Nemuri: Why railgun exactly?

Misaka: Well you know how we have to think about our ultimate moves eventually, i was thinking about it and realized that magnetism would allow for stronger attacks such as the most powerful application, a railgun. I thought it would be cool to be named after your own ultimate.

Nemuri: Hmm, i understand your logic, its pretty cool when you think about it.

After that Kuroko went up.

Kuroko: Leaper, the teleportation hero.

Author's note: Now i know what your thinking, but hear me out, its really hard thinking of a decent name for someone whose ability is called teleport. I didnt want to think about it too much so i put in the first option and this was the first option. This will be changed if any of you can suggest any name i can give her.

Nemuri: Simple, but i like it.

After everyone was done Nemuri turned to me and said something to which i replied with an expression saying seriously as did the entire class.

Nemuri: So Accelerator, whats going to be your hero name?

Accelerator: Are you seriously asking that? If you are then rest assured youve broken Kaminari's  record for total dumbass.
