Astonished, disbelieving and even confused. Those are the words that best describe how you felt once you heard his proposal. You cleaned your throat and lowered your gaze to your hands. It's not like you hadn't ever considered the possibility of joining them, but that was all; just a possibility. The cons list was bigger than the pros one.

"Roger..." you were still too taken aback. You swallowed hard and tried to speak again. "I have to think about it," you softly stated.

The blond man slowly nodded, he understood that it wasn't a simple thing to decide. He wasn't asking you if you prefer blue over yellow; he was asking you to leave everything behind in order to be with him. He quickly added to his thoughts that it was because he wanted you to be with the boys as well. The drummer didn't want to be selfish and promised himself that whatever your answer was, his behavior towards you wouldn't change. After all, you're his friend and, so he hoped, perhaps something more in a few years.

"Don't worry. We have time," Roger delivered with a smile, seeming to forget that you two actually didn't have it. He scooted over so you were shoulder to shoulder and a smile flickered on his face. He liked being around you. He closed his eyes for a moment like he was listening to distant music. Drowse. The one he wrote during the trip to the countryside. It didn't take long for you to find out that he had fallen asleep. What you didn't, and couldn't possibly, know is that he fell asleep thinking about you.

You chuckled once you realized it and kissed his forehead before adjusting yourself in a comfortable position. You gave him one last glance before closing your eyes. He's there. Real and everything. Sometimes you wondered if you were making the whole thing up and if someone were looking down from above they'd see you alone. Even though you discarded that possibility when Lucy and the boys of the cast saw them, sometimes you considered it.

Come morning, you got up in your elbows and noticed that Roger was already fully awake next to you. You rolled onto your side, cradle your head in your hand, and stare at his face. His blue eyes seemed to have lost the glint youI remembered from the night before and the drummer didn't say anything.

"Good morning," your lips curled into a small smile.

"Hello, love," his voice was slightly hoarse and he rolled onto his said as well.

You took a deep breath and your tongue swept across your bottom lip. "I don't know how to say it so I won't beat around the bush or anything-"

"You're already doing that," he teased with a smug smile but motioned for you to go on. A nervous chuckle escaped through your lips and you pushed yourself into a sitting position.

"Yes," you simply said with a smile, hoping that it would be enough for him to understand what you meant.

"Yes... What?" he knitted his brows and pressed his lips together. Seconds later, his eyes widened and his mouth opened in realization. "I- Did I propose last night? Look, you're insanely beautiful, really, and I'm sure you have a wonderful personality but... I- How much did I drink?"

The way your expression changed as realization slowly crushed you made Roger think that the concern for his reaction had turned into concern for his sanity. But it was merely knowing that the two of you definitely did not have more time.

"You forgot again," you whispered more to yourself. He became concerned for your sanity as well. In his mind, the two of you got totally wasted the night before and perhaps the effect of whatever drug you two took was a long lasting one. There was no other explanation. "Come," you spoke as you stood up. You held your hand out for him, which he took, and after grabbing the blanket and the pillows you headed for your apartment.
