You spent almost half an hour in the bathroom trying to understand what happened. When you got home you didn't want to talk to anyone yet, not the BoRhap cast nor the Queen boys and neither your friends. Gloria seemed so healthy, the last time you saw her she was just fine.

When you got home, Brian was waiting for you in the living room. He was walking around and seemed worried about something you couldn't figure out and at that moment you really didn't care.

The thing is, seeing Brian there made you remember that you two never got to talk about whatever it was that he wanted in the morning.

"Y/N, hi... I'm so sorry." he said once you were inside.

You knew that your swallowed eyes and the red nose were signs that you've been crying but his words made you frown.

"Why... did something happen with Sarah...? Deaky? Oh, my Lord, is it Freddie? Rog?" you asked, your voice filled with concern. You didn't thought that Sarah would tell the boys about Gloria passing away.

"No, um... Sarah told us about... well, you know." the curled haired man put his hand on top of yours as a way to let you know that he was there for you. "Someone dropped by and left a letter for you..."

Brian was genuinely sad. He liked Gloria, actually all the Queen boys liked her; Freddie even started to say "darling" and "dear" more often because of her.

You grabbed his hand, your nose stung and you knew that you were about to cry again. Brian handled you the envelope, it was from Gloria but you still weren't ready to read it, especially in front of someone.

"Freddie is surprisingly better." May beamed and you moved your gaze to his face.

      "But that's good, isn't it?"

"I think that... somehow this has a connection with Gloria passing away." he explained.

You frowned and shift you gaze to the envelope in your hand. You just couldn't see "the connection" he was talking about.

"Duuuude, come check this." a scientist named Mark said to his coworker, Noah. Noah had just arrived and approached the computer.

The screen was full of data and one other scientist, Rachel, cheerfully approached the boys. "0.9 millinewtons in energy!" she exclaimed wearing a proud smile.

"From the Van Der Graaf generator?" Noah asked looking at her, his eyes widened in anticipation. Expectations had been created.

"Yes! The one doctor May brought back." Rachel answered. "That's so huge!"

      "When?" Mark asked.

"Yesterday, the first time happened at eleven thirty six pm and the second time happened precisely twenty minutes later. It's just too much energy!" Rachel replayed.

The brunette was so happy about this, it could mean so many things. They might even discovered something new.

"Goddamn! This is crazy man!" Noah beamed, his voice in a high pitch because of the excitement.

"I know, right?! And we have no idea of what set the device off. The lab was locked, it's like it decided to go on."

"THAT'S IT I'VE HAD IT." A male voice echoed, they knew exactly who it was.

"Hi, dean Hoffman!" Noah faked a smile.

"Loved the ties, are those cats?" Rachel asked nervously as she tried to change the subject.

"Yes, Turkish Angora, thank you for noti... Don't change the subject!" the small fat brown haired man pointed a finger accusingly at Rachel's direction.

   "Wha-What subject?" Noah asked, stuttering.

"That!" Raimond Hoffman said, moving his finger from Rachel to the Van Der Graaf Generator. "We've had four rolling blackouts, fried electrical circuits, broken light bulbs all over campus and it all thank you to your little science project."

"It's his thesis project!" Mark defended.

"It's an abject failure! This university science department prides itself on pioneering forward thinking ideas that view results! Results that can lead to a patence!"

"So it's just about money?" Noah asked

"Yes! Yes, mister Clivenear, I hate to shatter your illusions but someone has to keep the lights on here, something that you are literally not helping with!" the dean said. "Consider this joke of a project suspended. Effective it immediately."

"What?" the three of them said in unison.

"That's right! I've already talked to professor Winnick and he's in totally agreement with my request."

"But you..." Rachel started but got cut off.

"What? You think I can't do this? I've already called security to come and take this energy sucking doohickey by nine o'clock today."

"You can't just take it" Noah said, he felt like his heart was being ripped off his chest.

"Watch me! I suggest you wrap up whatever business you still have in here. Have a good day."

The older man said before leaving the lab, leaving the three friends there without knowing what to do and Noah with a broken dream.

Y/N's flat - London, 2017 - 12h37 am.

"I'm not sure about it though, is just a theory." he explained, almost as if he was speaking to a five years old. However you weren't complaining, because of your currently state of mind you weren't exactly thinking straight.

"Yeah, well, honestly? Since you guys arrived here, I believe in pretty much anything." you sassed but Brian didn't say anything about it, he thought it was just you way to deal with the loss of a loved one.

"Alright, so... I think that an 'energy exchanged' happened." he explained but paused to let you make questions, which you didn't because you hadn't understood what he was saying well enough to formulate a question. Since you didn't talk, he continued. "Let me put it in another way. Think about a box full of objects, you will have to take a few objects off in order to put new things, right?"

        You nodded once. "Right."

"So... I think that... well, me and the boys aren't supposed to be here. We're an additional charge of energy on your time which means that something had to happen in order to balance it."

You gasped in realization and stood up, looking at Brian with your eyes wide open. "So... you think that Gloria passed away because Freddie is here? Does that mean three more people are going to... to die too?"

The Universe was trying to expell Freddie because he wasn't supposed to be there. His time had come years ago and that's how the timeline is, Queen's presence only messed it up. Gloria knew that it was her time, she knew what was happening since you told her about Mercury being ill.

"I... I honestly don't know, Y/N." he sighed and looked at you, you could see how tired he was. "I hope it doesn't. I just know that we need to go back to out time as soon as possible."

You knew he was right. But Brian May 2020 was traveling and he's the only one that could help you to do that in a legal way. Too many things were going wrong and you're scared of what the next thing would be.

You cleaned your and swallowed hard. "Well... I know a way, but you're not gonna like it."
