[A/N]: I'm not romanticizing mental illness or anxiety attacks in this chapter; the way that I described it is based on my own experience and what helps me. Enjoy the chapter and thank you all so much for the 700 readings!
So, I'll have to make a third part for the trip but I swear it's going to be the last one lol. Love y'all and I hope you enjoy this chapter because it's probably one of my favorites.
Warnings: anxiety attack and swearing, as always.
The man started walking towards the car. He stopped when he was by your window and knocked on the glass.
"Run over, run over, run over." Freddie kept mumbling.
"For God's sake, I'll run over you if you don't stop talking." the drummer whisper-yelled at Freddie, even though he was thinking the same thing. However, Freddie was freaking him out even more.
"Shut it." you whisper-yelled too and rolled the car's window down. You were scared but you figured that it was mostly because of the guys reaction, you swallowed hard and the man bent down a little bit so his head could be in the same level as the window.
"Y/N?" the man asked and you frowned. You knew that voice.
"Mister Gilbert?" you asked, shocked, while you reached the button to turn on the inside car's light.
"You know the zombie man?" Freddie asked and you waved him off.
"Has been so long since I last seen you, dear! You look so much like your mother now." the man said.
You knew Gilbert Potter since you were a little kid. You used to play with his kids, when you went to the countryside house with your parents, and horseback riding with them. He e had a lot of animals in this farm. He is the owner of the red barn you showed the boys earlier.
"Oh, my God. It's so nice to see you. How is the family?"
Roger cleared his throat as a sign that you should focused on getting the hell out of there. Brian was looking through his window, he was trying to do everything in his power so the man wouldn't recognize him.
"They're fine, thank you." he chuckled softly. "Anyway, you should go back to your house, you won't be able to go very far with this crazy weather. A tree fell down and it's blocking the road."
You eyes widened with concern. You couldn't stay for another day, you had to work tomorrow.
"Oh... There isn't any other way I can get to the city?" you knew there wasn't but asking wouldn't hurt you.
"I'm sorry, dear, there isn't. The tree will be removed by the morning though, the best thing you can do now is get back to the house and wait." you sighed, you couldn't believe your luck.
"What about you? You'll get sick if you stay like this under the rain." you asked concerned, the man was like an uncle to you. He waved you off and shook his head.
"I'll be fine, I'm here just to warn people about the tree blocking thing. I still can't believe how strong the wind got, it's unusual to see trees falling like this around here." he said crossing his arms, the rain was starting to get lighter.
You let a dry chuckle out, you still didn't want to believe that the boys had something to do with it.
"Yeah, thank you, mister Gilbert.... Stay safe." you said and he stepped way from the car so you could drive back to your parent's house.
"You too, kiddo." after that, he went back to his original spot by the fence.
You drove a few meters but the car suddenly stop.
