[A/N]: Thank you for waiting and for being so kind to me and to the things that I write. I cannot say how grateful I am for all the readers and for all the friends I've made whilst I wrote this story. I hope you enjoy this chapter <3.
"What was that?" Freddie asked as he entered the bedroom. Roger didn't answer, he was on the bed facing the ceiling, hands on his chest. "Are you practicing for your funeral or something?" Freddie said, trying to get a reaction, even if it was a rude gesture. Nothing, again.
Freddie's lips curled down and he laid down next to Roger.
"I swear, if this is some kind of joke I'll leave the band," Roger said. His eyes were closed now. Maybe it was a dream. A really strange one.
"You wouldn't dare," Freddie snorted. "That mischievous little mind of yours is probably thinking about a way to get back on us right now."
Roger sat down quicker than he meant to, Freddie looked at him with wide open eyes.
"So it is a joke."
"Oh, dear, no. It's all very, very, real." Freddie answered. "Even the feelings you don't remember having, but trust me on this, we all know," he patted Roger's knee, "It's like watching an accident about to happen."
Roger furrowed his eyebrows, he was confused and Freddie wasn't being clear. "So these... These feelings that you say I have, are bad? Because if I shouldn't have them, maybe losing my memory is for the best." Freddie's statement scared him.
Freddie stayed quiet for a moment, thinking about what his friend said, and clicked his tongue. "Well, no," he looked at Roger, "it's more of a 'Nobody can stop it because it'll inevitably happen'."
"What will happen?"
"You falling in love with Y/N."
Roger looked at the window and eventually walked towards it. "I fell in love?" he asked himself in a whisper, "When? How..." Roger's tongue swept across his bottom lip. "I am dreaming, aren't I?" he chuckled, "Of course I am!"
Freddie didn't plan on leaving the bed until he saw Roger opening the window. "What the fuck you're doing?" he flung across the room before Roger could throw himself out of the building. "You're worse than a toddler," Freddie complained while holding Roger by his wrist. "What was your plan exactly?"
"I just... I thought that maybe I would wake up if I, you know." He sticked his tongue out, tilted his head slightly to the side and closed his eyes. Just for a quick second.
"And did you think about what would happen if it wasn't a fucking dream?"
"No, I didn't go that far on planning," Roger sighed and smiled. "I'm glad you were here."
Freddie rolled his eyes and pointed at the bed. "Sit."
Roger did as asked without complaint. "So I'm in love."
"Yes."
Roger snorted. "That's new."
Freddie sat down beside him. "Look, I'm gonna be honest with you, yesterday you asked her to go back with us. With you. She makes you happy, Rog. The happiest I've seen when you're not on stage," Freddie sighed. "But we have to be rational, she has a life here, I don't think she would leave it all behind for us, so... Maybe you should let go."
The words surprised Freddie. He cheered for you two but deep down he knew: there was no way this could actually happen. He needed to be rational, his own words.
