London, Brian's flat - 1974
09:58 am.

"What the hell am I looking at?" Roger asked with furrowed brows and folded arms,  leaning against the doorframe. He had never seen a Van De Graaf generator before. Nor Freddie.

Brian did his first illegal action and brought it home from where he was doing his internship. He would turn it back in the next morning, no one had to know.

Aside from wanting to feel the adrenaline that only doing a wrong thing could give, Brian also wanted to show it to John, he knew his friend was dying to see one in person.

And do the harmless experiments he knew too, of course.

"I don't know, but it looks like a giant weird dick" Freddie added and let a small laugh out. Brian shot him a glare.

"This is, probably, our time greatest scientific advance so far," he answered.

"And you stole it," Roger added with a smirk.

"Brian would never do such a thing," Freddie defended him, but Roger knew he was right; Brian's a terrible liar.

"Believe in whatever makes you happy," Roger smiled.

John was holding his wrist on his back, leaning towards the generator to study it closely. "This looks more expensive than all of us together, I'm not sure let us that close to it, it's your brightest idea."

"What's that supposed to mean?" Roger said, Freddie laughed.

"I'm sure he meant close to you."

Roger looked at Freddie, "Oh, piss of, Freddie. You're worse than me."

"Because of you, you were the one who corrupted me."

Roger didn't answer, but a corner of a smile flourished on his lips.

"Aren't you even going to try defend yourself?" Brian asked, happily looking at John, he had the exact reaction May hoped. He saw it on Deacon's face.

"No," Roger shrugged, "I believe I did it to you too." he and Freddie shared a laugh, Brian tried to hold it, but snorted. "Anyway," Roger clapped and walked towards the generator. "What does it do? It better be good," Roger said looking at Brian.

John, who was standing next to Roger was the one who answered. "Why? It's not like we have something better to do."

"I do," Roger answered, "I can give you their numbers if you want, maybe you can even join us."

"If he doesn't want it I-"

Freddie started, but Brian interrupted him.

"Okay! This...," he gestured towards the generator, "clearly isn't sex-"

"It does look like a weird dick though," Freddie said, just to annoy Brian, and exchanged a look with Roger, who was having a hard time hiding his smile.

"I know, Freddie, thanks for your participation," Brian was too used to the duo to easily get annoyed. John was watching the scene in silence, but had a similar expression to Roger's.

Brian turned the generator on, he couldn't help but smile when his house didn't explode. "Now we just need to wait a minute."

"I think Roger should go first,"  John said, knowing what was about to happen.
