I looked at him weirdly. Why would he want to talk to me alone?
"Why is that? I'm not anyone special," I tell him. He was sad, which was weird.
"You are way special than you think, Calypso," he said, reaching for my hand. I let him grab it, which felt weird for me.
We stayed like this for a while, not until the waitress came back with the food. She saw that we were holding hands, and I could tell that she was furious. I pulled my hand away and grabbed my food. She handed Apollo his food and drink and gave him a bright smile. I could see that she changed her shirt. This time we could see her bra, and her whole chest was showing. I rolled my eyes and tried to grab my drink. Right before I had my drink in my hand, she dropped it on me. I flinched back, and my whole shirt was drenched in soda.
I looked at her and saw that she was smiling. I rolled my eyes and got up quickly.
"I'll be right back, Apollo." He got up and stood in front of me.
"Are you okay, Calypso? Do you need help" he looked concerned.
"I'm fine, Apollo. I'll be right back," I told him, grabbing his shoulder. What is this weird feeling?
I smiled and started walking towards the girl's restroom. Once there, I tried wiping the sticky soda off of me. I kept on trying and saw two women walk into the restroom. They kept on staring at me and looking back at each other. I ignored their stares and continued wiping off the sticky soda.
"Oh my god, did you see what she is wearing" I could hear them whisper? They weren't really trying to hide it.
"Yeah, I know, I don't know why this place let her in," They continued.
I rolled my eyes and made my way to the nearby stall. I sighed. What should I change into? Something that makes all these people blow their minds. Maybe I should wear a tunic, the ones I would wear at the Olympus meetings. I smiled at myself because I knew that these mortals would shut their mouths once they saw me with my tunic on.
I quickly transformed into my favorite tunic and slowly left the stall. Thank the titans that all the ladies left the restroom before I transformed. I looked at myself in the mirror and looked totally different. This is my true self. I smiled and left the restroom. I started walking towards the table I left. Once there, I saw Apollo was talking to the waitress. At least she got what she wanted, a few minutes to talk to Apollo. Once he saw me, his whole face changed and she notices right away because she quickly turned to see who it was.
"Hello Apollo, I'm back," I announced. Apollo was staring back at me with a shocked look.
He wasn't the only one looking at me. All the other guys at the whole restaurant were looking at me. I smiled and sat down at the table. This time the woman was shocked to see me and completely changed.
"What else would you like," she asked Apollo. He didn't say anything and continued looking at me.
"Can I have a glass of water, please?" I said, turning my head towards her. I smiled at her, and she just rolled her eyes, leaving us alone.
"Why are all the people rude here?" I said, looking at Apollo.
He looked at me and back at the waitress, "she wasn't rude to me."
Of course, he would say that about her. He didn't notice the way she was looking at him. Most likely, he gets those stares all the time.
"Well, I should get going. I have to check on Luke," I told him, getting up. He quickly stopped me from leaving. I turned my head towards him.
"Why are you leaving so soon?" he asked me. I pulled my hand away from him.
"I don't want to be here anymore, everyone is looking at me, and the waitress has been giving me dirty stares. I'm not going to let all these people treat me like I'm not someone important," I told him.
"I don't like being looked down on, Apollo. I have been looked down on my whole life because I resemble my father so much". I pulled my hand away and walked out the door.
The waitress was giving me a dirty look the whole time I was leaving. Apollo followed behind with a sad face. Once he saw the waitress, he gave her a dirty look too. After I left, I just continued walking through the street.
"I'm so sorry, Calypso," I hear Apollo say behind me. I stopped in my tracks and turned around.
"Why are you sorry? This has nothing to do with you," I told him.
"This always happens. That's why I don't stay in the higher class society. I will rather be alone and not have people talking bad about me".
He came closer and just stood in front of me with a sad face. I just broke down in front of him. I started crying. He did something surprising. He came towards me and just hugged me, which made me break down even more.
"I'm so sorry you feel this way, Calypso," He said, hugging me tighter.
"That is why I left Olympus in the first place because everyone treated me like an outcast. That's why I'm on earth, somewhere I thought I would feel safe."
He pulled my chin up, and I was able to see him clearly.
"You shouldn't care what anyone thinks about you. You are an amazing woman. Anyone would be lucky to share the same room with you".
