I was at the library early in the morning and I was surprised that I didn't see the kid on the bench. I sighed and knew he was on his way to that camp he was talking about. Today was like all the rest, boring. I was putting some books on a shelf when suddenly my whole body was shaking. What is this presence, I got off the stool I was on and went to the front of the library. There right at the door was a man, not just any man. It was the God of Music and the Sun, Apollo. I hid behind a shelf and was just staring at him flirting with Elaine. As everyone knows he is as handsome as they say he is. He has those cheekbones that could kill. And that sharp jawline that can cut someone. He had blue eyes and freckles, unlike his sister which is the complete opposite. And unlike her, he was preppy and cheerful, as they say, it was pure sunshine and rainbows. I slowly took a step towards Elaine and right when I stepped out from behind the shelf He was staring right at me. He smiled cheerfully and I wanted to throw up. He might be hot and whatever but, he reminds me of his father, Zeus. And there is no chance in hell I want a reminder of that scumbag looking at me.
"Hello you must be Calypso," He said casually. My question is why is he here? What does he want from me?
"Hello, who are you?" I asked pretending not to know who he was. He may be the god of the sun but I have never talked to him or seen him. How does he know who I am? Did the kid tell him where I was?
"I'm Henry James, can I talk to you somewhere more private?" He asked, it even looked like he cared. I sighed and nodded, heading to the break room. I teleported my pocket knife into my hands.
Once the door closed behind us, I pushed him onto the wall putting the knife on his neck, slowly pushing into his skin.
"What do you want, Apollo?". I was furious. I had a peaceful life here among the humans and now it will all be ruined by one god.
"Zeus has called upon your presence," he said calmly. I snarled and walked away from him.
"What does your father want from me?" I asked irritated. He looked at me surprised, most likely it was because he was not used to having someone call Zeus his father.
"He wants to discuss something with you". I started laughing. Now he cares about what I think.
"Fine. I'll get this shit taken care of so I can go back home". I rolled my eyes and looked back at Apollo.
"That was easier than I thought." He smirked and started walking closer to me.
"Let go to Olympus already I have things to do" I rolled my eyes and walked closer to him. He wrapped his arm around my waist and seconds later we were in the meeting room of the gods. In front of me were all of the Olympians.
All of them sit nicely on their thrones. Apollo left my side and walked to his throne. I transformed into my original form. I was much more beautiful than Aphrodite herself. I have long curly brown hair. My eyes were golden, just like my father and my skin was a golden brown. Unlike my siblings I was completely different, we had nothing in common.
"Why am I here Zeus," I asked annoyed. Everyone was staring at me surprised. Of course, they are, no one disrespects the king of the gods. And his face said it all.
"I wanted to thank you for showing my son to the demigod camp," he said bitterly. I rolled my eyes and stared at him.
"Your welcome, even though that kid of yours is pretty annoying. He didn't leave me alone until I showed him". I looked at Hera and she was mad.
Why hasn't she killed that demigod yet, she almost killed Hercules. I looked at her closely and noticed her torn eyes and wrinkles. What is Zeus doing to her? Is he mistreating her, of course, she stays with him. She was so beautiful all of the gods wanted her and she chose the stupidest one of them all. I sighed and looked back at Zeus.
"So can I go now," I said looking at him. I was never welcomed here, just like Hades. We were both outcasts.
"As you know my birthday is coming up and I want to celebrate it with family. Why don't you stay until my birthday?" I'm surprised he asked.
"No. I have more important things to attend to." I was about to leave when suddenly thunder escaped the air. I turned around angrily and turned into my true form. Standing bigger than Zeus himself.
"You should know your place Calypso," he said staring at me calmly. I took a deep breath. How dare he threaten me.
"You should watch yourself, Zeus, I gave you my domain and I can easily take it back. I am still the goddess of the sky".
I walked away and was about to leave the room when suddenly the lights turned off and fog surround the whole room. What in the titans is going on? I looked around and saw that even the gods were surprised.
"The Fates" I hear Apollo say. He appeared right next to me and stood in front of me protectively. What the hell? I pushed him away and looked at the three goddesses in front of me. They smiled and walked past Apollo heading straight for me. Altogether they stood in front of me.
"Hello, ladies," I said with a smile on my face. I walked towards them but then their eyes turned green. I took a few steps back and looked at them worried.
"You Calypso goddess of Birds and the sky, daughter of Kronos and Rhea, The goddess of Peace and time. You have been given the title of goddess of Heroes and Demigods. You will now be known as Calypso goddess of birds and the sky, the daughter of Kronos and Rheas, The goddess of Peace and time and Heroes and Demigods."
I looked at everyone and they were all as surprised as I was. Apollo was staring at me with a smile on his face. He must have known.
"You are also an Olympian from here forth"The fates finished and with that, they walked out of the room. Right after the left, a new throne appeared right next to Apollo's. It was different from all of the Olympians. I was white with branches coming out of it and stand in on one of the armrests was a small cockatiel bird waiting for me.
"Welcome Calypso you are now the thirteenth Olympian," Zeus said smiling at me. I looked up at him and rolled my eyes. I headed towards the bird and it resembled the bird I had when I was first born. I sat on my new throne and suddenly I became more powerful. I could feel the pain of the demigods all around the world. I can also feel their happiness and joy.
"How does it feel?" Apollo said looking straight at me. I smiled for the first time in a long time.
"It feels horrible, why do you guys leave your children to fend for themselves, do you know that they die? I can feel their sorrow" I said looking at all of the Olympians. Their faces changed looking at me.
"You are all horrible parents, don't even care about your children." With that, I decided to leave the room. I ended up in my apartment in New York. I started crying. Those poor demigods, now that I'm connected to them I could feel all the pain that they go through.
"What are you going to do, Calypso," I asked myself. I need to change the way they live. I can't let them die, like the ones before them. I nodded my head. The first thing I need to do is go to this camp Angel was talking about. I need to see them.
