I woke up to see a white cream ceiling. Everything around me was different. This isn't my Cabin. After a few blinks, I realized that I was in Apollo's home on Olympus. I turned around and saw a few gods in the room. Zeus was standing up by the door while Hera was on the left side of the bed holding my hand. On my right was Apollo holding my hand. I smiled at him, but he talked to the rest of the gods, not paying me any attention. I couldn't understand what they were saying for some reason.
"What is going on?" I asked, getting all of their attention. They all looked at me, surprised and worried.
"Are you okay, Calypso?" Apollo asked, holding my hand.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Why?" I turned to get up, but I just felt numb and fell back onto the bed. That's when it hit me. Kronos had taken over my body and talked to the rest of the gods. I was terrified, and everyone noticed.
"Did you guys find out how he took control of me?" I asked them. They shook their heads.
"We don't know how he got into your brain. All I know is that he is still in Tartarus," Hades reassured me. I sighed, finally letting it go. There is nothing that I could do about it now. The only thing we could do is move forward and make sure he does try anything like this again.
"What are we going to do about him?" I asked, sitting up. I was terrified, just like everyone in this room. Most of us spent our childhoods in his stomach.
"We will fight this war with the demigods," Zeus announced. Everyone was nodding and agreeing to his plan.
"I will not let the demigods fight a war they have no part in. This is about us and Kronos, not us our children, and Kronos." I was now sitting up on the bed. Everyone was staring at me with wide eyes. They didn't know what to say.
"I understand that you guys would want other people to fight this war for you, but I've had visions. This War isn't going to be like the last one. We will have to fight against Kronos with everything and everyone we have," I tell them. They must have listened to me because they were all rethinking their idea.
"We should talk about this later Calypso still needs time to rest," Apollo interrupts. Everyone leaves us two alone.
We sat there in silence for a little while before Apollo said anything.
"How are you feeling, Calypso?" He asked.
"I feel like shit, and I have a headache. But that doesn't matter. I need to find a way to protect the camp." The only thing I could do was think about was the children and how they are too young to join nonetheless fight in a war.
"We have to stop them, Apollo. I care about the camp too much. We have to find some other way," I say, grabbing his hand. He smiled and squeezed it tightly. At this moment, I knew I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.
I was in the main house waiting for the counselor's of each camp to arrive. I at least want them to have a good day before I have to tell the horrible truth. The Olympians outvoted me, and now they are forcing their children to fight in a war.
'Calypso! Why have you brought us here?" Alyssa said, sitting down in her chair.
"You will find out when everyone else arrives," I said, making my way towards my chair. After a few moments, the room was filled with counselors' all of them representing their cabins.
"I have something important to tell all of you." They all looked considered. I swallowed whatever was in my mouth and continued.
"I have decided to take a handful of demigods to have a fun day out in New York City. Something you guys have had in a long time. We will be protected. The Gods and I have the whole city surrounded with guards that will protect you from monsters," I told them. Hopeful they like this small gesture before they have to fight.
"How many people will be allowed to go?" Alyssa asked.
"The whole camp is going out. We are going to make it look like a school field trip. I promise all of you will be safe," I said, smiling at them. It might be the only chance of a happy day for them in a long time.
After the meeting was over, Chiron came up to me.
"Why did the gods arrange something so kind for the demigods?" He asked. I knew I couldn't keep this away from Chiron.
"They voted to make the demigods fight alongside us in the war to come. I couldn't do anything about it. It was all of them against me. They at least wanted them to have a good time before they fight". I turned away, saddened by what I just told him.
"You can't blame yourself, Calypso. You were outvoted." Chiron said, trying to comfort me.
"It was all because of Kronos. He took control of my body for a few seconds. Long enough to threaten the gods."
"How long has he been out there?" Chiron asked, looking at me, worried.
"Truly, I don't know. He must have been gathering his forces long enough. He has finally had enough to start a war".
"Calypso, I know how you feel about sending the demigods to a war, but it is the only way to stop Kronos."
"I understand that, but I don't want any of them to get hurt. It's just a mother's fear. I don't want to lose any of my children." I sighed and started walking towards my cabin.
I was looking around, everyone was at peace, and nothing seemed to bother them. I hope their peace lasts a little longer. I continue walking towards my cabin. Once I was inside, I was surrounded by people. Luke had jumped into my arms, and Apollo was next to me in a flash with Mar in his arms. I smiled and hugged them all back.
"Welcome home, Calypso," Apollo said smiling.
"I'm happy to be home."
