In the aftermath of the Nomu assault on Hosu City, Midoriya, Todoroki, Iida, and Rose had all be transported to Hosu General Hospital. Where they were given treatment along with the pro hero Native. There wasn't a need to go all out in treatment and they were awake the next day and gathered. Or more like Rosehad joined the guys in their room, since she was in a private one. "Were you able to sleep, Midoriya? Moriyama ?" Todoroki asked.
"No, not really." Midoriya had answered, his left arm and right leg wrapped in bandages.
"Nee. Nope." But It was because Rose had been lectured over the phone for hours by both her parents and then her manager after they heard of her being in hospital. Although, she hadn't told them what happened. "What about you?" She asked looking back to Todoroki, as she sat on the free bed beside Iida's.
Me neither." Todoroki had his left arm wrapped.
"Thinking about it now, amazing, huh?" Midoriya looked to the ceiling saying.
"That's true." Rose completely agreed with him.
"Seeing and ending like that really makes you feel like it's a miracle we're alive." He was going on saying which was true, because even after the lecturing, Rose was afraid to actually close her eyes because when she did, Stain's last stand repeated. The feeling of truth death. "With my legs like this, he probably could've killed us if he'd wanted to." Midoriya had been right and it wasn't just him.
"Yeah. We were obviously left a alive on purpose." Todoroki was looking down at his arm, and even if Rose's eye been hit by that knife, she still would be alive. "You're amazing to have been able to face him after all the murderous intent directed at you." All eyes had shifted to Iida, who had been quite all this time, with both his arms in sleeves.
"No, that's not it. I..." He was beginning to talk when the door to the room had opened up.
"Oh, are you wounded kids awake?" Gran Torino was standing in the door way, and it wasn't just him but Wood Witch and another hero, a man with black eyes. Who wore his hero costume that consisted of a blue and white, skin-tight, long-sleeved shirt that tucks into his orange gloves. He wore dark pants, white boots, and sports a signature helmet that features a fish-like fin and blue visor.
"Gran Torino!" Midoriya was pleased to see the old man.
"Manual..." Iida felt a little awkward looking at the hero who he had been interning at.
"Wood Witch." While Rose was happy to see the woman walking into the room over to her.
"Kid, i've got a lot of complaints for you." That had been said by Gran Torino towards the green head student.
"As do I, Missy." Wood Witch was rubbing the top of pinky head when calling her 'missy'. "However, right now you have a visitor." But their attains were were pulled back to the door where someone very tall, sturdily built with the head of a beagle walked in.
"Hosu's chief of police: Kenji Tsurangamae." Gran Torino had introduced the man before them. Who had the area around his eyes and his ears were a dark brown, the two sides separated by a tan line which runs down his forehead, widening at his muzzle, which was flecked with pale brown. He had a large, black nose and dark eyes, and, although the rest of his body is of normal human shape, his skin appears to be the same tan color as most of his face. He wore a suit, consisting of a dress shirt, and waistcoat, over which he wears an unbuttoned black blazer and matching dress pants underneath. He had a belt with a large buckle and a black and white tie that resembles a dalmatian's coat.
"Cute..." Rose said under her breath looking at the man. But then stood up from the bed with Todoroki and Iida to pay respect. Midoriya was about to do the same.
"Oh, you can just stay seated, woof." But the chief had stopped him, since his leg was injured. But Rose's face had slightly gone red at the surest of the 'woof'. "You must be the U.A. students who brought down Hero Killer, right?" He had asked those stand before him.
"Yes." Iida answered him, but the fact that chief of police came all the way here during an important time was strange.
"Regarding the Hero Killer we arrested... he had fairly serious injuries, with burns and broken bones, and is receiving treatment under strict guard, Wood." That had all been due to their battle but the air that was being given off didn't seem good. "Since you are U.A. students, I'm sure you already know that when superpowers were still becoming the norm, the police attached high importance to leadership and standards and made sure quirks were not used as a weapon." They did as it was in the text books belonging to first years, not to mention it was common knowledge. "And then, the profession of heroes emerged to feel that gap, woof. For an individual's use of force and power that can easily kill others actions that normally would be appropriate to denounce- to be excepted officially is thanks to early heroes who followed the ethics and rules of the professionals, woof." Rose could see where this conversation was heading. "Even up against the Hero Killer, for uncertified individuals to cause injuries with their Quirks without permission instructions from the guardians or superiors is a clear violation of the rules." Which would mean... "The three of you, and the pro heroes Endeavour, Manual, Gran Torino, and Wood Witch must receive strict punishment." That was to be expected, however
"Wait a minute. If Iida hadn't done anything Native would've been killed." Todoroki spoken up against it. "If Midoriya hadn't come, the two of them would've been killed. No one realise that he would kill her to appear. Are you saying we should've followed the rules and watched people get killed it?"
"W-W-Wait!" Midoriya tried to stop the young man who was losing his cool.
"Are you saying that as long as it turns out alright, it's okay to bend the rules?" The chief had asked him.
"Isn't it a hero's job to save people?" Which only had gotten that in response.
"That's why you are not full-fledged heroes yet. Goodness, what are you been taught by U.A. and Endeavor, woof?" And the chief seemed almost amusing but the question.
"You dog!" Which seemed to have caused Todoroki to snap, stomping over to the large humanoid-dog.
"Stop it. He is absolutely right." Iida had told him, hoping to calm him down.
"Todoroki!" Rose gripped on trying to stop him.
"Hang on a minute." But Gran Torino had stepped into the conversation. "Hear him out until the end."
"That was the official opinion of the police." The air around the chief completely changed. "And the punishment and such would only happen if this were all made public, woof. If this were made public, you would probably be afforded by the public, but you would not be able to escape punishment. On the other hand, this is a bit underhanded, but if it is not made public, the bone scars would support and Endeavor be the hero who saved the day, and would end there, woof. Thankfully, there were very few witnesses. This violation could be crushed here, woof." It would mean they would escape the punishment which would probably be expulsion or something. "But this would also mean no one would know about your good judgement or achievements. Which do you prefer?" That was asked to the three, but the answer was pretty obvious. "Personally, I don't want to be the one to find fault with promising young ones because of one big mistake, woof." The chief had his thumb held up to the three young heroes before him.
"Either way, we will need to take responsibility for being negligent in our supervision duties." Manual seemed to be in tears saying that which had Iida walking over to him.
"I am truly sorry." And apologising to him bowing.
"All right. You'll cause trouble for others! If you understand, then don't do it again!" He had been chopped on the head by Manual.
"I won't!"
"I-I'm sorry." Midoriya had lowered his head also apologising.
"Please take care of it." This time both Todoroki and Rose bowed.
"Because of the unfairness of adults, you not be able to receive the praise you would probably have gotten, but at least..." The chief had lowered his head to the four students. "...as someone who also protects the peace, I say thank you."
"Please start with that next time." Todoroki still seemed a bit upset since he felt bad now. And with everything being said the doctor had called upon Rose, forcing her to leave the room.
"...So you won't have any problems with your hand, but there might be a scar left." The doctor was looking at the tests and X-rays.
"Das ist gut. That's fine. It adds character and as long as it's not my face then I wound be killed." When she meant she wouldn't be killed she meant by her produces and her band members.
"Alright then. The only problem is your lungs..." he was looking at his screen typing. "It seems that your were pretty close to having an attack, which had most likely been thanks to expose to high humidity; breathing in cold and dry air at once." Which was a result to Todoroki's Quirk. "I think your injury and the physical movement you were doing also contribute to it. Although it appears that you haven't had an attack since you were ten, I'll give you a script for you to use. I suggest that you care this with you at all times. Even when your training." Rose had been handed the scripted that the doctor was talking about. "I have already send an email to your GP back home so there isn't a problem." And with that
"Danke. Thank you." Rose bowed at the front of the door way before closing it behind her. Before heading back to where the guys were, only to find that Midoriya wasn't in the room. "Where's Deku?"
"On the phone with Uraraka." It was Iida who had informed her, but something seemed wrong with the young man.
"Is something wrong?" Which was why Rose had asked him that.
"The thing is..." Todoroki was about to explain but the door behind her had opened up once again.
"Oh, Iida, Moriyama, just now, Uraraka said..." it was Midoriya who was on a single crutch walking into the rom.
"Midoriya." But the red-white young man had stopped him. "Iida just finished getting examined." Now Rose understood why the air was gloomy.
"My left hand might have long-term damage..." Iida had been the one to inform them of the results, however,
"Long-term... damage...!?" It was extremely shocking.
"Both my arms are pretty beaten up, but it looks like the damage to my left arm was especially severe." That was being explained as Iida was rubbing the cast upon it. "There was damage to my brachial plexus. But it just means that I'll have trouble moving my hand and fingers and experience some numbness. Apparently, there's a possibility that it can be filled with nerve transplant surgery." Even though it was serious, the young man was making it sound like it was nothing. "When I found the Hero Killer, I start being able to think. The first thing I should've done was tell Manual. But I forgot myself in my anger. I hate him, but he spoke the truth. That's why, it's all I become a true hero, I think I want to leave my left hand as it is."
"Are you sure?" Rose was asking since it could cause more problems down the road.
"Yeah. It is alright." But the young man smiled at her saying as he had accepted this.
"Iida, I feel the same way." Midoriya had spoken lifting up the hand that was filled with the scars from the sporty festival with his battle with Todoroki. "Let's become stronger... together." Both of them nodded together.
"I feel... kind of bad..." Todoroki had said out of nowhere, having the others looking to him.
"Why would you?" Rose was asking since it didn't make sense.
"I feel like if I get involved... Other people mess up their hands..." That had been replied with a serious expression, as he was looking down at his own hand as the others were in shock at what he had said. "Is it a curse?" Although the other three had burst into laugher listening to him.
"Todoroki, I didn't know you could make jokes!" Midoriya shouted thought his laugher.
"No, I'm not joking. I'm like 'The Hand Crusher' or something." But by saying that it caused them laugh even harder then before.
"'The Hand Crusher'!" And ever thought they were laughing, Rose stopped and looked down to her hand.
"You girl, you're fighting half-ass!" Stain's words repeated in her mind but as did...
"There's no point in trying! You're just a fake! Stop pretending!"
