By midnight's time, Lin had rolled on her bed, glancing over to take a peek at Li Jun. His heavy purrs told her he's deep asleep and probably won't wake up even if she shakes him. She tucked herself in hours ago after leaving the dinner table though she found it difficult to fall asleep, having to tossed and turned restlessly, the weigh of Shin's words played in her head.

Meet me in our spot.

She told herself she has no reason to. Why would she bother? There's nothing to talk about and it's not fair to Li Jun. Li Jun has taken care of her since Shin left to study abroad.

She did as much as getting up from the bed ruminating at her own thought. She entertained sneaking out but all that thought wiped out when Li Jun cracked a snore that made her look at him again.

She laid back down in bed.

Shin was slowly sobering up. He had done as much as taking a shower and drinking some electrolytes to replenish his fluid, he planned on going to the gym a little bit after to sweat out the rest of the alcohol. He's a young man at twenty two, alcohol has no effect on him as much as it does on Li Jun.

Shin slipped on sweat pants and sweat shirt, stealing a glance of Janet who sleeps peacefully in his bed. He waited until she fell asleep to sneak out of his room unnoticed. He had invited Lin to meet him at their old love nest at the attic down at the end of the hall.

Shin found the spot exactly as they left it. The old sofa coated with four years worth of dust is still left at the same spot. The blanket they shared is still there though from the look of it, it had been washed all folded waiting to be used again. Everything is exactly where they were, like a frozen time capsule longing to be revisited.

Fond memories of his teenage years flooded in his brain, those were the good old days, having to sneak around from his father just so he could be with his forbidden girlfriend.

He missed the trill of not getting caught.

He lowered himself on the dusty old sofa, waiting.

Anytime now, she would be climbing up the ladder, poking her head up the attic smiling at him.

The minutes burned away slowly, until the minutes turned into an hour. Shin sighed as he waited patiently.

Maybe, I should have told her what time to be here.

Or maybe she fell asleep.

No, she's coming, she's just taking her time.

He was convinced she was coming, why not? He could very much recall how in love she was with him back in their teenage years.

First love never dies.

At least he tries to convince himself.
