Shin climbed down the attic and scampered through the dark hallway, occasionally turning over his shoulder, careful on not being caught. Sometimes, there are housekeepers already busy at this side of this side of the mansion at this early in a day.
Li Jun was fiddling with the silver cufflinks on his jacket when he caught a whip of someone down the halls. His first instinct was to investigate, but thought nothing more when he heard the soft click of Shin's door closing.
"Hmmm, that was strange."
What's Shin doing walking around so early in the morning? He glanced at his expensive watch making sure the time was right. It's five thirty in the morning. His son don't typically wake up until another hour later.
He stepped off getting ready to go downstairs when he overheard a strange sound drawing his attention up to the ceiling. It was a creak in the attic. It sounded like someone was watching his steps careful not to disturb anyone.
His forehead knotted. He don't recall sending someone over to clean the attic.
His curiosity got the best of him deciding to explore the attic. He walked down the halls and noticed the ladder to the entrance was down.
This tells him someone was up there.
He thought of Shin immediately, perhaps he was in there searching for boxes tucked deep in its crevices, some memories from his childhood or a misplaced item. He must've forgotten to raise the ladder when he left.
Li Jun almost pushed the ladder back in place when he remembered why he's there.
He poked his head up, the flicker of soft light over the corner let him know of someone else.
"Hello?" He hummed quietly climbing all the way in, he took a few more steps towards the sofa, noticing the bulk of sheets on top of it. From where he stood, he could make up a shape of someone, breathing deep hollow breathes and probably asleep.
Who?
He reached and plucked the sheets.
Nothing could have prepared him for the surprise. Li Jun dropped his jaw, stunned. All the blood on his face must've drained, he was looking at Lin half-naked, asleep right in front of him.
"Lin!" He stammered, "what're you doing here?"
"Shin?"
No, worst.
"Mr. Lim!" Lin stammered in her groggy voice. "I..I"
He looked away, scrambling to get his thoughts together. He's been around plenty of naked women, and he had fucked them all but Lin was different. She's young and she's innocent and he doesn't carry any kind of sexual fantasies or any weird thoughts about her.
He was just not expecting to see her that way.
"Don't you have your own room?"
"Yeah, I do."
"Then what're you doing in the attic?"
"I-i..." Lin stumbled for words to say.
Suddenly, a realization gripped Li Jun. He whipped back around, looking at her. He can tell from the little clothes she wear that she'd been up there doing exactly what he forbade them to do. "We're you and Shin cozying up in here?"
