"She's soon to be his stepmother." Announced Li Jun as soon as he came around the corner. He heard the argument all the way in the hall.
Shin's mouth dropped. Too stunned to react.
Janet's eyes glittered and gasped at the sudden revelation. "That's so sweet!"
Lin on the other hand was in shock at first. Then her face flattened recalling what it's like to live with Shin and Li Jun.
Those two has a habbit of pissing each other off out of contest.
He probably just said it just to get a reaction out of Shin.
She can tell just by looking at Li Jun. The tightness in his stature, he was straining all his facial muscles just to hold himself from bursting out in laughter.
She looked back at Shin. Face red with fury. Fingers clenched into ball of fists so tight that his knuckles turned white. Li Jun really did manage to make his son angry.
"She's younger than me!" Shin burst out finally.
Lin sighed. "Calm down, Shin. He's is kidding." She rolled her eyes and made sure Li Jun saw it.
"What? You don't think I'm serious?" Li Jun crooned over to her.
Lin ignored him. She knew him all too well.
Janet broke out in laughter. "That was good. I honestly thought he was serious for a second." She said mapping for a napkin to wipe her tears. She could get used to this kind of energy.
Shin let out a calming breath and pulled the chair back beneath him. He sat down despite his anger. "There's nothing funny about it. "
"Oh, relax Shin, can I have a little fun with you and your girlfriend?"
He paced over to meet with Janet. Eager simper pressed on his lips; Li Jun swallowed her into an embrace. "Welcome, Janet. It's nice to finally meet you."
Janet returned the embrace and the smile; this is the first time she'd ever laid her eyes on Li Jun. She had long determined Shin got his looks from his mother and she'd been right all along. Li Jun displays an aura of confidence, strong jaws, darker skin, he reminded her of all those attractive villains she'd seen watching Chinese fantasy dramas on tv.
Her cheeks turned pink, humbled being welcomed by a billionaire.
"Thank you, Mr, Lim. It's my pleasure."
Li Jun grinned and winked turning his back around, but not without pausing by Lin to press an apologetic kiss. "We'll talk about that later this evening."
Lin blew a breath granting Li Jun no response.
Li Jun took his seat to the middle of the large table as the servants began to bring in trays of appetizers to start off the dinner.
"Wine!" Shin demanded immediately; he could use some alcohol already. "Get me the strongest one."
