The body of a corrupt police official was found floating in the long stretch of Yangtze canal. A gunshot wound in the head was the caused of death, execution style.  No arrest has been made and the family of the victim has been notified.

As of now, authorities have no suspects in custody.

Li Jun turned the volume down on his television and made a circular motion of his thumb on the temples of his head. He felt stress crept in along with the muscles on his shoulders tightening.

Li Er has been missing for the past couple of days and he has no doubt the body that was just found floating was his.

"That dumb cop!" Li Jun knew it's just a matter of time. Li Er is just as useless as any pig on his payroll. He has one job. To clean up that mess at the bridge but he failed to do so.

That was a mistake. Li Jun knew this would happen, Li Er had been careless and it cost him his life.

Li Jun let out a long exhale. Not only he has to worry about his rivals, but now, he also has to worry about the police sniffing his ass.

Just as his week couldn't get any better, a mutilated finger was delivered to his place of work a few days later.

It was an index finger and there's no doubt in his mind, the finger belongs to Li Er.

It was a threat. From whom? Li Jun has a good hunch.

He knew he has a problem he must deal with.

Shin held up a cup of cappucino in his hand. Part of his job being an intern is to fetch Rosemarie coffee every morning and whenever she calls for it. Shin has never done this before, he had never done any chores or submit to anybody. He's a son of a billionaire, he never has to lift a finger for anything or for anyone.

He set the capuccino on the coffee table while he waited for Rosemarie to get off the phone with one of her clients. He sank deep in the sofa, feeling the exhaustion of the day creeping in, taking care of someone's needs and getting up each time his name is called is no easy feat.

Rosemarie hung up the phone moments later whipping away from the magnificent view of her window. She saw Shin slumped on the sofa looking spent. It's almost six in the afternoon and she had yet to let him go.

Rosemarie had done this on purpose, keeping the young man around her as much as possible in the last week or so. Shin has been a pretty good company so far. Obedient, motivated and easy to to talk to. Just as how she remembers the rambunctious social kid all those years ago.

"Care to join me for dinner, Shin?" She inquired walking up to him.

Shin lifted his chin. It's six o'clock in the evening, he's tired and he wanted to get home. But he's also hungry and he has nothing to do.

Shin gave it a thought for a second weighing whether turning her down was a good idea. He didn't want to hurt her feelings and besides, she's his boss.

When Shin took a moment longer to answer, Rosemarie pouted. "Oh common Shin, it's going to be so lonely eating by myself."

He breathed, he now felt obligated to accompany her.

"It's a fine dining downtown. My treat." She offered.

Shin didn't care about the free meal. He could pay for his own meal no problem. It's the notion of feeling guilty leaving a woman to eat alone. No gentleman should let a woman dine alone.

"Sure." He responded with a smile. "I'm getting hungry anyway."

Rosemarie's smile widened clapping her hands. "Oh you are god's sent."
