      "Ok, so what are we going to do?" Nia asked turning to the king who was laying down with his hands over his eyes.
      "What Can we do? There's still the alliance to think about and the threat of war if that falls through"
      The girl sighed turning to face Peter, gently moving his hands from over his face. "We have to convince Susan that Caspian and his uncle are human trash"

      "She's never going to believe us" Peter shook his head. Nia could tell the stress was taking a toll on the boy. "Peter," she called softly, "Go to sleep. We can figure it out tomorrow" Nia said, gently running her fingers through his hair. Looking at his face, she knew that this was getting to be too much for him.
      Peter turned, nuzzling his head in her hand. "Stay?" The quiet question hung in the air for a moment, pausing Nia's movements.
  
  "Peter-
      "Please"

    Sighing at the desperate look on his face, she nodded and turned off the light before taking her place beside Peter on the bed. The boy took her hand in his and placed a feather light kiss before the two fell asleep.

        The next morning was awkward to say the least. Peter and Nia walked in together, earning all types of looks from the rest of the table.
      "So I heard you two had Quite the night" Enne started, barely containing her smirk
     "It's not what you think it is" Nia groaned resting her face in her hands.
     "Oh yea you two just made out and went to Peter's room for the night.....to sleep" Edmund snorted.

      The kings head shot up, "How do you guys know about tha- Nia elbowed him and gave him a look that said stop talking right now, "I mean we didn't do that" Peter tried to cover up. The table burst out in giggles at the flustered pair.
     "Oh my god" Nia groaned resting her forehead on the table, wishing she was anywhere else.

      "Ed I need you to listen to me" Peter looked at his brother, "Caspian and his uncle are trying to overthrow us and rule over Narnia themselves"
       "Oh my God this again? What the fuck are you on about?" Ed looked at Lucy and Enne to see their reactions. The girls looked concerned at the kings serious manner.

       Peter rushed through the explanation of the previous night with Nia, quickly talking about the plan they overheard from their visitors. "-and that's why we need to convince Susan that he's no good"

       "So you and Nia really aren't together?" Ed asked looking slightly disappointed
     "What? No we're not together, can you focus on the important part of this please!" Peter rolled his eyes.
        "So why were you guys kissing?" Lucy asked suspiciously
      "As a distraction! But that's literally not what we need to be focusing on"
     "A distraction? Sure" Enne winked, "ok ok we'll focus!" She said defensively seeing Peter's annoyed face.

    "How the hell are we going to convince Su that the 'love of her life' is evil?" Ed wondered out loud.
  "She won't believe it unless she hears it for herself" Lucy chimed in
    "So we'll just get her to hear it herself" Enne offered, earning confused looks.
     "We'll set up a plan that lets Susan over hear all the bad things that Caspian is planning" The girl explained further, "Then we'll have enough proof to punish them or whatever you guys do here"
     "That's smart" Ed agreed nodding, he turned to Peter, "Where's your girlfriend by the way?"

      "She's distracting Susan in the garden- I mean she's not- I mean- I can't deal with this right now" The king said walking away while the three behind him started laughing again.

     "Hey Su," Nia called, "Do you think Caspian's acting.....strange?"
      "Hm I didn't notice anything different" Susan shrugged, "I thought you liked him now"
      "Oh yea he's uh great and all, just seems like he's hiding something" Nia casually said again, "could just be overthinking things though"
      Nia left the topic at that, letting the silence sow the seeds of doubt in Susan's mind. Susan paused, thinking over her relationship with the prince, ultimately deciding to wave it off for now.

     "I got the others up to date on everything" Peter yawned. It was late in the evening and the pair were laying in bed exhausted from the day and it's events. "Thanks for covering for me with the meetings and shit" the king said ruffling Nia's hair.

       "Yea no prob dawg, I don't know how that's allowed tho"
       "I'm the king I do what I want"
       "Pffftttt ok "I'm a big king man I do big king man stuff grr"," Nia mocked, "I did most of your shit so technically I'm the king now."
     Peter took his crown and tossed it at her, "Take it, I'd like to see Caspian try to take you out" he scoffed.

      "How was your day with Susan?"
       "It was good I'm using psychology to make her doubt her relationship"
        "that seems unethical"
    Nia turned towards him, "you're really going to judge me right now?"
         "I'm just saying" Peter shrugged
      The girl took the crown and placed it on her head, "Well I'm the king and I do what I want" she mocked him again.

      "I think we can actually do this" The boy looked at her with hope in his eyes.
      "By this do you mean take out Caspian and his fugly uncle? Because we took on creepy shadow beings so I think you're underestimating our abilities here" Nia laughed taking off the crown and setting it aside. "Yea ok fair enough" Peter said half asleep, "you're staying here right?"
     Nia yawned "duh"  also half asleep,
    "Ok goodnight" Peter said again
     "Dude just go to sleep already"
