What happened next was.... gruesome to say the least. The mountain children and Nia ripped soldiers limb from limb, the ground stained red with blood. Nia snapped out of her trance as soon as she saw Caspian cowering in fear before her. Startled she looked around at the death around her, she looked down. She realized she had Miraz by the throat on his knees, the claws embedded into his neck.
Quickly she let go and backed away, looking between Caspian and his uncle and what remained of their army, she stood with her back against a tree. She watched as the mountain children slowly approached her enemies, closing in around them eager to kill.
She felt a presence beside her and arms wrap around her with gentle fingers running through her hair.
"It's ok" She heard Peter softly comforting her. Everything felt unreal in that moment, Peter reached out to wipe at the tears streaming down her face. When had she started crying? She didn't know what was happening, her mind felt disconnected from her body. Her feeling and her reactions didn't seem to add up to her.
Peter's hands gently cupping her face dragged her back to reality. Suddenly she felt everything, she remembered everything. Nia pushed away the dread she felt as she wiped the tears from her face and turned quickly to the mountain children before they could attack the Telamarines, "That's Enough." She managed to say with a strong voice, "Leave."
They stopped and turned, advancing towards the girl. Nia pushed Peter behind her as she faced the creatures, her eyes glowed red before glowing gold as she had when the heroes found the orb. The largest of the mountain children stepped forward in a challenging manner, Nia moved closer, accepting that challenge.
The creature lunged for her but she managed to dodge the fatal attack, however the mountain child managed to leave deep claw marks down her neck, shoulder, and back. Nia groaned and composed herself, directing a beam of golden light towards the creature. It hissed as the light burned at its skin and it eventually backed down from the battle. The creatures retreated back into the forest in fear.
Nia rested her head against Peter's chest as she felt the fatigue wash over her.
"We have spared you and your people Caspian. Go now, let this war come to an end." Peter announced to the Prince as he wrapped one arm around the girl and his other hand rested at the hilt of his sword.
"We will go now, young king but this war is far from over," Miraz replied as him and his army turned the opposite direction.

The Narnians returned to camp tired and with grievances weighing heavy on their heart. Peter, Nia, Ed and Enne all exchanged long hugs before sitting a little farther away from camp.
"I healed you but I think that scar is permanent" Enne explained giving her friend a side hug.
"Thanks Enne," Nia smiled tiredly, "I think I beat whatever mountain bullshit curse they put on me though, so that's a win"
"Damn I'm gunna miss vampire Nia" Peter said jokingly
"I'm not" Ed muttered, "What? She was scary!" He said in defence when Peter and Enne shot him a look.
The four smiled and laughed in the night and for a moment it seemed like things were finally looking up for them and their kingdom.
"Well, we should head back" Nia said standing up with Enne. She bent down to place a kiss on Peter's cheek as Enne went to say her good nights to Edmund. She looked over at them, then back to Peter, she smiled,

   "I lov-

Suddenly she gasped, looking down she saw a blade through her chest plate. Unable to speak or even breathe she fell to the floor. Glancing to her side she saw Enne in a similar position. As she felt her breath slip away she saw Caspian stood above them. She could vaguely hear Peter and Edmund yelling and swords clanging together as she looked over at her friend.

Enne looked back at her and the two reached for each other, and closed their eyes. The chaos of the war seemed to move far away. Growing quieter and quieter, the world faded from around them, until there was simply nothing left.

Then they heard a noise. The sound of..... a train?
