"God we've been walking for ages" Edmund groaned, the sky had set and night had fallen on their second days journey towards the tombs to find the scrolls. The four were making surprisingly good time but the speed at which they were going was starting to wear them down.
"Fine we can take another break" Susan rolled her eyes as they sat down.
"Why hello there" An old faun greeted them emerging from the woods, "care to share some food with a passing stranger?"
"Of course!" Lucy replied handing the faun some bread and cheese.
"You are most kind, young ones. I have no money to repay your generosity however I can weave you an old tale, one that was passed down from generations to generations"
"Oh you don't need to pay us or anything" Enne waved the old faun off.
"Wait I wouldn't mind a story" Ed shrugged as they all settled down by the fire.
    "Yay story time!"
"I must warn you, young friends, this story is not for the faint of heart....

The pied piper is a story that everyone is at least somewhat familiar with, A man comes to town promising to get rid of the pest problem the people struggle with. However when the townsfolk refuse to pay the man he takes out his revenge by leading the children into the mountain, then disappeared. The townspeople never saw him again.
That's not where the story ends, what happened to those children who were lead into the mountain? The piper never went back for those children so what became of them?
They didn't die off as one would expect, No they changed. Some would say they adapted, evolved to fit their environment. Others would say it's something much darker, something more sinister. What lays deep within the heart of the mountain? Something evil and dark, a creature so foul it turned the souls of the innocent children into twisted demons that feast on what used to be their own kind. Turning to serve this evil power the children wait in the depths in the mountains awaiting the next unfortunate soul that loses their way. While some believe it to be a creature, most believe it to be the hidden demon that lays deep beneath the subconscious of the human mind. The primal and vicious instinct to kill and hunt emerged from the depths of their souls when at their darkest moment and consumed them.
They were just children, left alone to die. When the last of their hope died out, the darkness emerged and they all accepted it with open arms. Tempting those to stray from the path they know, promising a life of happiness and endless joy, only to be lead to their deaths, just as they had been. Once lost the soul would become weakened by fear and sadness, thats when the children strike.
They feast of the flesh and bones of those who have nothing left to give. Fuelled by the despair that seeps into the bones of their victims, they're always sure to make sure to wait until their victim has given up all hope. Legend has it they still remain underneath mountains and caves waiting for their next prey. Years without being fed, the starvation has made them more vicious and cruel with their attacks, instead of luring people off their path, they've turned to bolder methods, taking all those who dare to even come close to their territory. They serve only themselves, driven by an endless hunger that can never be satisfied no matter how much they kill and feed off innocent beings.
Some say the piper himself was the first to fall victim to the monsters he created, after all, he was never seen again.
A lost soul facing off alone with the creature stands no chance of survival, unless hope still remains strong and their will never falters.

"Dude what the fuck"
