LISSA
Class was ended early and Madrid was taken to the hospital. Niall apoligized to Madrid, but didn't sound entirely sincere. Madrid was able to sputter out that he wasn't pressing charges. Before the ambulance had left Harry looked worried because he was afraid that their boss would be mad at them since this was the second time some one got sent to the hospital. I had never met their boss and most likely the owner of the gym, but on that Monday I got to on not the best of terms. He had heard of how I had beat the shit out of Macy and he hadn't appreciated it. His name was Mr. Callen, he was a short and stocky man. Although he wasn't fat but intensely ripped.
"What the hell did you do Niall?" Mr. Callen asked as he watched Madrid's bruised body roll by on a stretcher.
"Its my fault, I indirectly invited him here when he was.. uh... not well liked by some people in this classroom." I never faultered and had nothing but business written across my once again emotionless face. He turned his head to me and away from Niall.
"You! Why does all the excess violence start with you?" he pointed at me angrily. "I had to sit through some very long meetings to save this program because of you, because you decided to beat a girl senseless. I want to have a word with the two of you." he walked out into the hall and waited for Harry and Niall to join him.
"He's usually not like this, he didn't care as much about the whole Macy thing. But you shouldn't have tooken the blame for that Lissa." Harry whispered and looked over at Niall worriedly. They walked out into the hallway. I couldn't hear what they were saying over the matches going on at the moment. I looked over at the makeshift scoreboard that Harry had composed with expo marker on the glass of the mirror.
Suprisingly Mae and I were ranked 3rd. I was determined to get us to first place. The first and second were guy partners. We'd have to beat them. I brought this up to Mae and she sounded hesitant when I asked her if she was up for the challenge.
"Lissa, you are a lot better at this than me." she admitted softly.
"I don't know..." I didn't know how to react to praise, just critisism.
"Oh don't be so humble, I think that if I screw up in a match you'll pick us up and we might just end up being number one and I know that means a lot to you." I smiled lightly and Harry and Niall came back with solemn expressions.
"Mr. Callen has decided that since you confessed that that fight between Niall and Madrid was your fault and that your fight with Macy was apparently you fault also..." Harry trailed off.
"So..?" I asked already knowing what he was about to say. I put on a brave face and showed not a sliver of disappointment or sadness.
"Mr. Callen has denied you further attendance in this self-defense class." Niall said sadly. I just nodded and collected my things. I went over to the scoreboard and erased my name with my hand. I nodded to everyone and went to my car. I sat in the driver's seat and every wall just melted down. My eyes got teary and I gently leaned my head against the steering wheel. All that hard work, just to be kicked out. I had gone to that class for a reason.
That class was supposed to make me stronger. Now I just felt ashamed for beng such a fool. For falling in love. For thinking I could handle these wonderful friends I didn't deserve. For so many things. And now I had messed it all up. I still wanted to learn more self defense so London better not disappoint me. I decided to gym hunt later and just went back to my flat. As I sunk into a kitchen stool I realized how quickly I had given up on the self defense class. Mae was probably hurt that I'd just walked out and I knew that I should have said goodbye and that now I'd have to apoligize. I decided I do all my apolgizing on Tuesday night. Then I came to the realization that Xander was still in fact here.
"Xander what the heck its been like an hour or so what are you still doing here?" I questioned him where he lay in my bed, he was under the covers.
"Just trying to figure some things out." Xander said distantly. His eyes came back into focus and stared right into mine. I sat on the bed next to him and he tugged the covers. Then he sat up and we were face to face.
"What were you uh trying to figure ou-" my words were cut short which seemed to always happen. And they weren't stopped by words, but by lips. Xander's lips. He had nice soft lips, but I couldn't kiss him he was basically my dysfunctional brother. I immediatly pushed him away.
"What the hell, Xander?" I gasped exasperated.
"Yup, figured it out." I gave him a baffling look.
"And that is?" I said furiously.
"That I'm gay, it's been kind of confusing lately." he said absent-mindedly.
"Oh that's nice, to use me a test subject. Although I'm glad your gay or that would've been bad." I said sternly.
"Sorry sorry, but hey its all good right, that embarassing kiss is behind us. It didn't mean anything." he said happily. He was so weird, but he was the best.
"So are you ready for tomorrow night?" I asked hopefully.
"Yes." he sighed holding a small baggy with a single dissolving capsule in it.
"Good." I actually beamed with anticipation at the thought of getting Niall back.
"Here goes my perfect record." his voice dripped with sarcasm.
"Alright I have to go to work, you go home and get some rest on your own pillow." I ordered him.
He nodded and I changed into work clothes. The drive was quiet and I just wanted tomorrow night to come faster. When I arrived at my office, David was there sitting on my desk.
"I heard what happened to Madrid." he said with pity.
"Can I go visit him, he's in the hospital?" David just rolled his eyes and nodded. He could be a real prick sometimes. I hated Mondays. I signed in at the hospital. I tried not to touch anything in the hospital, I despised them. Madrid was in intensive care when he had first arrived but they had stabilized him and now he was in the recovery ward. I came to his room and knocked on the already open door.
"Hey, how are you doing?" I asked softly. He looked over at me with his bruised eyes and body.
"Swell." he said cheerily. I knew he probably hurt everywhere but he was trying to push through it.
"I'm sorry all this happened to you." he just nodded. I decided that I'd give at least one apology today.
"It's okay I shouldn't have come. I just wanted to see you and Mr. Letts told me that you went there and I didn't know that the instructor hated me."
"Apologies accepted?" I asked.
"Yes." We just sat and talk for a whole hour and then David had to be a complete prune and texted me telling me to get back to work because he had a lot of paperwork for me. Sometimes David made you want to strangle him. After work I was exhausted, paperwork really takes it out of you. I fell asleep as soon as I saw the bed. Tomorrow was going to be a happy day and I swore to myself that I'd request Tuesday by Drake and that other guy at the club but for now I would sleep.
