LISSA
I eventually left Xander's and slept till morning came at my flat. I groaned as my alarm went off and I lugged myself out of bed. Before I met Mae and Niall and everyone else I didn't have a problem with gettting up, but now the late nights and extra drinking made it difficult to maintain my morning routine without falling asleep in the bathroom or acting like a vampire towards light. Slowly I showered and put on my workout gear. I decided to make myself look hotter today. I curled my lashes and put mascara on them to make them seem thicker and longer.
I was pleased with the end result, my eyes looked ginormous and my blue eyes popped out so much. They were almost teal because a hint of green had been mixed into them. I was trying to prove to myself that I had a little bit of strength left. Niall was tearing me apart even though I was trying so hard to hide it. I had practice from previous... events on keeping emotions at bay so hopefully Niall hadn't saw how shattered I was whenever I saw him and those lips that I wanted to kiss over and over.
But i was being ridiculous. I sighed as I looked over myself one more time. But i couldnt hold in all my emotions and I couldn't hide them from myself. I had been avoiding Niall and it had worked out so far, besides yesterday's self-defense class. I wanted to punch Niall for being so god damn sexy and kiss him senseless which was very confusing. I walked out the door and drove off to see the man i loved and hated for loving.
I arrived to the gym on the outskirts of the lovely city of London and parked by Mae who had probably come early to make out with Harry. I was right. I walked in and saw Harry and Mae practically having sex in a dark hallway on the way to the classroom. I rolled my eyes.
"Get a room!" someone yelled from behind me. I jumped because I didn't know that some one was behind me. I almost jumped and turned around to see who it was because their voice was very, very familiar, I felt sick to my stomach as I met the gaze of the one and only, Niall Horan. My eyes widened and so did Mae's when she turned to us flustered in Harry's arms. They walked over to us holding hands.
"So are you guys dating yet?" Niall asked trying to lighten the mood even though Mae and Harry were tense the look of panic on my face.
"Yes." Mae said quickly and looked like she could explode with happiness. Harry looked so happy too with a smile on his face and hint of something very affectionate in his eyes when he looked at Mae. Almost like the way Niall had looked at me in the hotel. I was so happy for Mae, but right now I wanted to get away from Niall's side.
We continued to the classroom and joined the others. The competiton continued and there was only one more match until the second round started. After a great fight between two guys that lasted about 5 mintues, Niall and Harry called us up and looked down at their clipboard. I would be facing another friend of Macy's. They all hated me. Of course since we were fighting partners Mae would have to go against one of her friends too. They were all bitches. But now I had a way to channel anger and a reason to want to fight my opponent.
Mae went first. The girl she was up against was bigger. Most of the smaller people had lost. We were to face anyone so Mae and I might have to fight some guys but I was up for the challenge. The girl probably had about 30 pounds on her. She was fast, but not as fast as the light Mae. She was light on her feet.
Her oppenent went for her legs to immobilize her and dove. But Mae dodged her and she fell to the mat. Mae quickly straddled her and attempted to hold her down. The girl threw her off and Mae stumbled. She caught her breath and dodged a punch. She put Mae in a choke hold. Mae hit her with her forearm and she backed away. Mae went more offensive and punched the girl square in the jaw. She fell back and Mae straddled her again with more confidence and determination. Mae punched her a few more times and the girl slapped the mat signaling that she forfeited.
Now it was my turn. The girl I faced even introduced herself.
"Hey i'm Mindy and don't even think about winning." she said with a smirk. She sounded like a bully out of a book. I just smiled and shook my head.
"Lissa." I reached out my hand to shake hers, but she just walked onto the mat leaving my hand hanging. I put my hand back to my side and walked over to the mat. Niall yelled for us to start and we circled. Mindy tried to hit my chest and face, but I blocked her and punched her gut everytime. After 3 or 4 times she landed a blow and literally punched my neck. It was difficult to breath and I sucked in scraggly breathes. I looked and saw that Niall was biting his lip like he was nervous about me.
I hit her back. Hard. She clutched her stomach right after I sent my knee into it. Then I dropped low to the ground and grabbed her foot. She lost her balance and I quickly got on her and held her down. She held her hand back and it came very close to my cheek but my hand caught hers mid-slap. She grunted in fustration. She heaved me off of her and stood on her feet again. I gave a battle cry of sorts for her trying to slap me and tackled her to the ground. She hit the ground with a thud and I stood my ground. I put my foot on her throat and she tapped out.
Macy had probably told them about how I had froze up when she slapped me and thought they could win by doing so. Although it was true, it didn't make me any happier. I scoffed at her and went over to the crowd again. My first fight had been a lot easier than this one. Mindy really could fight, but she probably didn't have the determination I did. I was worried how well I would do with some one even better. It seemed that Mae was just as good as me which made me happy, because we were equal so we had a better chance. Although Mae always said that I had more fight in me.
