LISSA
Finally Friday had come. It was so hard to face Niall in class. Yesterday I had seen him at my workplace... and that hadn't gone very smoothly. David had been eyeing my ass all afternoon because I had worn form fitting kakis and a blouse that was a tad too small because I had accidently put it in the dryer.
"Hey Lissa could you bring me the files I gave you yesterday to sort through? I'll be in my office, I am talking to a client, but he won't mind if you just drop in and get those to me." he stood there a moment longer and his eyes wandered to my chest. I rolled my eyes and nodded. He left the room and I dug through my full desk. I finally found the files. They had been bookeeping records that he had dropped and shoved into the file for me to put into order.
I got out of my desk and walked the short distance to Mr. Letts office. I opened the door to his large office. His desk faced away from the lovely view of London. You could see Big Ben and tons of buildings in the skyscraper that I worked in. I walked past the small table with an intracately designed vase. My heels didnt make a clicking noise because the floor was covered in a thin dark grey carpet. I was debating on whether or not I should call my boss David or Mr. Letts. I just decided David because I didn't like calling people mister or miss.
"David, I have those bookeeping files you were asking for." I say casually and glance over to the people sitting in chairs across from his desk. One of them is a tall and fit man with a chisled jaw line and a cunning smile. I smile politely at him. I can't see the other man from my point of view so I walk closer to David's desk. My eyes get wide and i feel goosebumbs on my arms from the sight of the person beside the chisled jaw guy.
"Hello I'm Scott Posey. And you are?" Scott had a low and soothing voice. He takes me by surprise at I stare at the other man.
"This is my assistant and well basically my co-CEO, Lissa Rung." David gleamed. He thought we were close now, as in friends, I didn't mind him but that didn't mean he was my friend. Scott shakes my hand and I look over his shoulder again to see the man sitting beside him.
"Hello Lissa." Niall says from his seat. He gets up and gives me a hug. I pull away abruptly. I can't think straight with him in the room especially when hes holding me. I step back and nod to him. David looks at me confused.
"Do you know Mr. Horan?" he asked.
"Yes I do."
"So you go to his self-defense classes?" Scott asks with curiousity. "Why do you go to that class when you have that pretty face." I felt like he was being degrading.
"Well I want to safe-guard this pretty face." I said stiffly. Niall is still standing right beside me. He takes my hand and squeezes it then lets go quickly. I am left missing his touch.
"Well I better get back to work." I say quickly and leave the office.
That expierience had left me shooken up and confused. Why the hell was Niall at an insurance company, which so happened to be the one that I worked at. I didn't remember telling him about which company I worked for. I just decided to not think about it because thinking about Niall hurt too much. I hated being in constant pain but I didn't know how to end it. It all started with Niall. So today was Friday and the group wanted to go clubbing.
The only bad part was when the girls delivered a blasting blow to me.
"Ok so we have decided that you need another guy. Some one to get your mind off of Niall." Elizabeth said calmly. I didn't think I could do that. "And before you think that you can't do this think again you'll be fine this'll clear your head."
