LISSA

I woke up with sticky cheeks. I rubbed my eyes and noticed my cheeks were stained with midnight tears. After last night I had reached a breaking point. I was so confused on as to what had happened between Niall and I. I thought that the drunken kiss Friday night was only a small thing that didn't matter to him. I had hoped and pleaded with myself. I didn't know what to do. Feelings weren't my thing. I couldn't handle emotions so I just avoided them altogether.

Today was a Sunday and I decided I would plan something with Mae and Harry/Nialls' friends' girlfriends. I decided just to call them the girls. Maybe I could get some comfort from them. I texted all of them the same text. Let's hang out at my place tell me when you can come. I was straight forward. I received 4 text almost simultaneously. I didn't want to open the texts right away because I was nervous that they all wouldn't want to come. I gained the courage to open their texts and was instantly confused. They were all the same.

Get in the car loser we're going shopping. I racked my brain to remember what that line was from. I looked out the kitchen window to see Mae's car parked outside my flat. I ran back to my room and changed into light skinny jeans, a flowy blouse, and blue TOMS. I put my hair into a sleek ponytail and washed my face along with other bathroom necessities. After 10 minutes I was ready and out to the car. Dakota and Kat sat in the back and scooted over to make room for me, Mae was driving, and Elizabeth was in the passenger seat.

"So, what is that saying from?" I asked curiously. Kat and Dakota both raised eyebrows, Elizabeth was smiling and Mae looked slightly confused.

"Well its an American thing. Its from Mean Girls where the popular girls invite a newbie to hang out with them." Kat and Dakota explained. They were the Americans. For the car ride they talked a little bit about their home towns.

"How did you guys meet Louis and Liam?" I asked.

"Well we moved here together and when we caught sight of those two we goggled and then Dakota pushed me into Louis and it was sorta love at first sight." I awed at the story for a few seconds after. Their love was so rich and beautiful. I would never fully grasp it's concept.

"And then after Louis had helped her out Liam tripped on his own feet and I, um ended up catching him." Dakota said slightly embarrassed. She laughed. Their meeting story was just as cute and romantic as Louis and Kat's. I laughed with them. Then the mall nearest to us came into veiw.

"Let's shop!" Elizabeth screamed. We all cheered as we got out of Mae's car. I was starting to like these girls. We walked into a few shops and nothing appealed to me. I noticed that all the girls were trying on loads of dresses and high heels. I didn't stike any luck until we passed a little shop on the corner of a long strip of stores after a long 6 hours and 1000 dresses.

It was hardly noticeable. But one dress that was moderately short, teal blue, and lacy/silky. I had my eyes on it as we stopped to eat some pretzels and drink slushies. Once we were finished the girls started to head back to the car after a long day of shopping. But much to their disapproval I walked over to the shop. A short old lady was manning the counter and I wasked her if I could try on the blue dress in the window. She slowly nodded.

Then she took the dress down from the display and unlocked a dressing room for me. I started to slip the dress on when a pair of gorgeous black heels slipped under the door. I quickly finished putting the dress on and walked out to the mirror to examine myself and find out where the shoes had come from. Outside the fitting room stood Mae, Elizabeth, Kat, and Dakota. The were beaming at me.

"Wow you found the perfect dress!!" They all said something along those lines all at once. The encouraged me to put the heels on with it. The were probably only 2 and a half inches not monster heels but fairly tall. They looked like someone had shaped ribbon into ellegent heels. The dress hugged my body and hugged curves I didn't know I had. It was a simple v neck with short sleeves, the lining was all lace.

The bottom of the dress went out like a flowy skirt. The material of the dress itself was silky and flowed to a little beneath my mid thigh. I took it off and opened the door to talk to them

"So why have you all gotten dresses?" I questioned them. They looked at each other as if mentally deciding who would announce what ever they had in mind. Mae finally spoke up.

"The boys have invited all of us to go to this party. Its theme is inbetween party party and ballroom party. I thought Niall had already told you." Mae looked at me curiously. I sighed and was about to shake my head but before I could do so the old lady shouted back to us.

"The store is closed no buying till tomorrow." the now wicked lady said.

"I'm pretty sure you need customers so just let us buy this one dress and a pair of shoes." Elizabeth said stubbornly. She shook her head and motioned to the door. Then the girls did something I that I'd never thought I'd get to witness:pure devotion to a friendship. Dakota made a battle cry as Kat took the exact amount of money to pay for the dress and shoes. She smacked it on the counter and sprinted out the door to the car, dragging me along.

I was so shocked.

"YOU... YOU GUYS. YOU JUST STOLE THIS STUFF!' I yelled. They smiled.

" We paid for it all. Besides we couldn't ignore the way you looked at that dress we had to get it somehow." Dakota stated. Mae speeded out of the parking lot and we headed for my flat.

"Ugh this is the 3rd time we've made it so we can't go back to a mall. We are going to run out of malls to go to." Kat complained. I laughed. I knew that they didn't do anything illegal, they just did things that got them into trouble. We made it back to my flat alive and all piled out. I didn't expect them to come inside, I thought they'd all go home.

"I say we watch Netflix, eat, and fall aseep. Hey is it alright if we crash here tonight?" Elizabeth asked. I liked the sound of her plan although Mae and I had self defense classes. I just decided she would have to wear her new tshirt and shorts to the class. They were athletic anyway. With a nod from me they raided my kitchen and Kat logged into her Netflix account on my rarely used TV.

We all laid on the couch and the floor in front of it with a mound of blankets and pillows I had found hiding in my extra closet. We all fell asleep to the Notebook. Sadly I fell asleep right before the ending. I had to watch it again. So at 1:00 AM I woke up and watched the last part of the movie. I ended up crying.

My wretched mother had told me the ending to it when it first came out. I had wanted to see it so bad but my mother wouldn't let me because she wanted to go out and so she told me she had looked it up and told me the ending with a smirk. What made me cry even more is that she hadn't been lying she had truly spoiled the movie for me just to make me miserable in any way possible. But she wasn't my problem all those years ago.
