I thought we finally hit a groovewhere I could write you random thoughts
or say silly phrases
back in the beginning when none of this mattered
and I got giddy when I saw your name pop up
a heated rush to send you a reply
Now it's all nuanced words
with more time spent thinking about what to write
then actually writing it
I type and then edit and often delete
fretting over if my words are complete
I've lost myself trying to be myself
because it was your version of myself
that I was trying to live
I love you for who you are
I give you so many liberties
Can't you just love me in return?

Invading every thought
PoetryA book of poetry. These are my words, written about love, desire, romance, heartbreak, and all the feelings in between. My thoughts don't have to be spoken to be known. A work in progress.
