I miss you
I say these words so often they start to lose meaning
they become the track that repeats on an endless loop
The song you once loved hearing
continually playing, now you skip over
onto the next new tuneDo you miss me?
I tell myself that you don't, but you must
you must miss the secret glances
the looks between us that no one else saw
The light touches, the way I brushed against you
or stood too closeI miss you
the way you would casually tell a joke
or launch into a impression that always made me laugh
You were the only one who could always make me smile
the only one who invaded, invades my thoughts
and I can't love you anymore than I already doDo you miss me?
The way I answered purple or black or white
when you asked me a question you didn't even need to ask
because I knew what you were thinking
and sometimes I showed you, not saying a word
Do you still look at the pictures?I miss you
I miss us
When will you come back to me?
