We are of the same mind —
That I discovered
on a late Wednesday evening
when you first came over
and we shared stories
until the early morning hours
It was really uncanny
How we'd say the same things at the same time
Jinx!
And I was perplexed and intrigued
how we had so much in common
I felt like I knew you for years
though I had only just met you.
It started that night, this intrigue
You were drawn to me,
I called to you, an intoxicating siren
not realizing that it would be your charm
which would rip me to pieces
crashing my boat into jagged rocks
in a wave of destruction
Because that's what happens
when we are of the same mind.
I often wondered if you were really real
Or if you were just a figment of my imagination
my Tyler Durden
Because it's not possible to find such a mirror of myself
My twin
Both loving each other though hating ourselves
Our minds consonant,
spiraling down into a catastrophic cacophony
But we'll go down together
since we are of the same mind.
