Levi got out of the taxi one hand holding onto his luggage While his the other was stretched out in front of him taking loose change from the taxi driver, shovelling it into the right pocket of his denim jacket.
Standing in front of the university Levi let out a silent sigh after a considerable amount of time had to pass Levi wheeled his suitcase inside towards the campus with a metal pointy grey fence and massive spiked grey metal gates.
Thirty minutes later Levi stood in front of a dull brown door with the number 301 written on it, opening the door to his new room Levi was greeted with a messy scene, piles of papers and scattered books blocked his path leading to his bed.
Seconds went by when a deep voice spoke from inside of the occupied room.
"Ah, I'm sorry for the mess I was trying to find something but ended up making things worse, are you my roommate?"
"Uh, yes, I'm Levi."
"Dylan, nice to meet you," said a tall, slender man with a swimmers physique emerge from a room to his left
"Nice to meet you too," said Levi grabbing the outstretched hand and clasping it in his own for a few seconds before letting it go.
"I'll let you go and organised your things; I'm going to continue to look for my missing papers".
"Mn"
Levi pulled his luggage further into the room, sitting down on the double-size bed Levi ponder about the kind of life he will have on campus.
Growing up, making friends was something that Levi found hard to do, people would take one look at him and make up their own assumptions about him, without even getting to know him.
To describe it precisely Levi has always been a loner; these are the reasons why not many people had ever heard Levi speak, apart from his own mother and older sister the only two people that know Levi's pure, kind, funny and innocent side.
With a heavy sigh, Levi got off the bed, organised his belongings and arranged his bed. Once everything was neatly arranged and put away, Levi headed to the door without glancing in the direction of his roommate.
Levi's hand that was on the door nob froze when he heard a voice beside him.
Turning his head to look at his roommate whose head was buried deep inside a book, once Dylan was done with the chapter, he placed a bookmark in the book before closing it.
"Are you going out for dinner? In that case, I'll come with you; my stomach has been rumbling for the past hour."
"Sure,"
"Where were you planning to go?" Asked Dylan
"I was just going to grab something from the cafeteria downstairs."
"How about we go off campus, I know a great place down the street; If we go now, we can come back before the school closes."
"Okay, we'll do that then". Replied Levi.
Walking out of the campus, the two individuals walked down the footpath that was busy with locals going about the daily business. The restaurant that Dylan is taking Levi too was a family-owned famous for their succulent tender chicken and meal deals.
It is perfect for students who did not have many resources or time cooking their meals while studying for their exams and tests.
Each dorm room came equipped with a fully furnished kitchen and bathroom, making it convenient for the students to be independent and have more time to focus on their studies.
Once the street became quieter, Dylan struck up a conversation with Levi while walking towards their destination.
"So what major are you studying?"
"I'm studying medicine and chemistry."
"Medicine, huh, is there a particular reason your studying that major?"
"No, no reason."
Dylan waited for Levi to continue explaining once he got the message that the other person was not going to say anymore he asked another question.
"You don't like to talk, do you?"
"No, not really."
"Are you more of a listener than."
"I don't know I've never had to listen to someone talk for so long before."
"...."
Dylan did not know if the statement was directed at him or not. Nevertheless, Dylan also became quite as they reached their destination.
Walking into his first lecture of the year, Levi saw that the classroom was empty, walking towards the empty seats Levi chose to sit at the edge near the large windows overlooking the green luscious grass and forest, promising himself to explore the woods. A few silent minutes pass Levi adjusted his posture once he heard students' chatters making their way inside the once quiet room.
Levi failed to see when a tall, handsome figure walked into the room, with his head looking out the window making all the female and male turned their eyes to hawk and the newcomer.
All but Levi's pair of eyes were busying looking out the window not realising that the newcomer was making their way towards him.
