As soon as his class finished, Levi quickly packed his books and headed towards the campus entrance. Taking his phone out to look at the time, Levi estimated that he would have exactly two hours from now to complete his tasks; as soon as Dante was done with his class, the man would call and demand to know where he was.
Hurrying on his way, Levi quickly walked around the nearby restaurant and cafes, only entering when a sign that displayed "help wanted" would he continue to enter the premises and hand in his CV. When he finished handing out his CV, Levi went to the closet bench and sat down, pulling out this water bottle. Taking a sip of his water, Levi pulled out his phone again and looked at the time.
Putting his phone back in his pocket, Levi exited the bench. He had only taken a few steps when his phone vibrated. Taking his phone out again, Levi opened the Lock Screen to see that he had received a text message from Dante; without answering Dante's question, Levi sent out a different message instead.
As soon as he sent the message, another notification was received. After reading the text message, Levi cutely scolded him for using his phone while in class.
Dante, who had been sleeping through class, looked at his phone and opened the message; as soon as he saw the message, Dante straightened up instantly and proceeded to reply immediately. Once he was done texting, Dante put his phone on the desk again; not a minute had passed when another notification was received.
Dante picked up the phone again, his smile frozen as he saw who had sent the message. Without replying, Dante put the phone down again, his mood darkening.
"Dude, what is it?" Asked Lester once he noticed the atmosphere beside him.
"None of your business leave me alone."
"Alright, man, chill. There are only five minutes left of class; whatever it is, try not to break anything. The school can not afford to replace the equipment damaged by you."
"How about I break your neck instead." Said Dante, turning to look at Lester.
With a chuckle, Lester held his hands in surrender and pretended to pay attention to the class.
Dante turned his attention back to his desk when another chiming sound echoed in the class. Picking up his phone, Dante opened the message and read it as another message came.
Feeling angry, he quickly typed a responded
"I'm in class."
Putting his phone away, Dante rested his head on his desk again, closing his eyes; thinking about the person who had sent him the message made his good mood instantly vanish.
All this time, as he was growing up, his parents were never around. He had always been in the care of his butler. He never knew what it felt like to be loved by his parents. In return for their absence, his parents would shower Dante with gifts and expensive cars. As the years went by, Dante became accustomed to his parent's absence and started to live his life the way he wanted without a care in the world.
It wasn't until he laid eyes on Levi that he ever thought of changing his rebellious lifestyle.
A few minutes later, class ended. Only then did Dante open his eyes once more. Picking up his phone, he exited his seat and walked out of the classroom, with Lester following behind.
"Dante, do you want to go off campus and grab something to eat?"
When Dante exited the building door, a black limousine was parked across from him, gaining the students' attention nearby. Not waiting for a reply, Lester instantly knew who was inside; he turned to Dante and spoke.
"Maybe next time, buddy." After patting Dante on the back, Lester left.
Walking to the limousine, Dante was greeted by his butler.
"Good afternoon, sir; the madam requests your presence", said Clifford, opening the door to the limousine and shutting it once the younger master was inside. He then moved to the front of the limousine before it went on its way, pulling away from the curb.
As Levi looked at the message he received from Dante, Levi smiled at the response while replying. Unaware of his surroundings, Levi bumped into a woman with her hands full of paper bags containing her weekly supply of groceries.
And she had been struggling to hold everything upright. As soon as Levi bumped into her, she dropped everything she held onto the concrete pavement.
"Sorry, I'm so sorry."
"Sorry, Sorry." Answered Levi, putting his phone away. He bent down to grab the brown paper bag and picked up everything that had fallen out.
Once he had picked up everything, Levi handed the bag to the person, only for her to drop everything once more.
"I'm sorry."
"It's alright here; let me hold this for you," said Levi as he picked up the bag again.
"No, it's alright."
"Let me help you; where are you going anyway? I can carry these for you."
"Well, in that case, thank you. I" 'm trying to go back to my school. I came out to get supplies for me and my roommate, but I bought too much."
"Perfect, I'm heading there myself."
"Really, you're a student there too."
"Yeah, I'm Levi; nice to meet you."
"I'm Eleanor; nice to meet you."
Levi walked and chatted with Eleanor. The more he talked to her, the more he realised how much they had in common; this was the first time he had made friends at school besides Dante and Dylan. As they were near the campus entrance, Levi turned to smile at something Eleanor had said, unaware that a black limousine had driven past them.
