Chapter 30

"Mia."

'Levi, you go back inside first."

"But..."

"No, but hurry up before I spank you out in front of our neighbours."

"Mia, I'm a grown man. You can not do that to me anymore."

"If you are not gone by the time I count to three, I will.."

"Alright, I'm going," said Levi, turning to look at Eric before walking back inside.

Levi slowly walked back towards the house, hoping to hear the conversation between Mia and Eric, but no matter how slow he walked, he did not hear the sound of talking coming from the direction he came from. With a sigh, Levi turned the doorknob and entered the house while calling out to Dante.

"Levi, is everything okay with your sister and Eric?" asked Dante, walking out from the lounge room.

"Well, they are out together, so whatever it is, they will figure it out themselves. Should we go upstairs and pack our bags? We are leaving early in the morning, aren't we?"

"Mm" nodded Dante.

"Let's go then."

"Wait a minute", said Dante, grabbing Levi's hand as the other person was about to leave.

"What is it."

"I thought you and I could go out for dinner and watch a movie. It is our last day here. I want to visit all your favourite places and do all your favourite things before we leave."

"We could, but why did you decide this suddenly?"

"Levi, you are the most important thing to me; I realize ever since we officially became a couple, we have not once gone on a date or even gone out and watched a movie or done things that couples do. We could do it all today. At the place you grew up in."

"Isn't it a bit late for you to start wooing me? I mean, all things that shouldn't be done have already been done," said Levi, smiling at his alpha.

"It is my fault. Looking at you, I knew you would bring my many flaws and faults. I knew that everything that revolves around you would make me act rationally. So you see, my little omega, you have enchanted me to the point of no return."

Levi's smile widened at Dante's sweet words, which made him want to puke more than anything else. Seeing the mocking smile on Levi's face, Dante pulled him even closer into his embrace. Even if he knew he was being cheesy, Dante could not help but be happy.

The two stood in the empty room, holding each other for a few more minutes. The smile on Dante's handsome face became strained as he had a faraway look on his face, a look that made him look older and wiser.

Stepping into the car, Levi looked at his mother standing on their porch with her night ropes wrapped snugly around her body as she lifted her arms to wave at him. With one final look, Levi entered the passenger seats as Dante started the engine and took off down the quiet suburban streets.

Once they reached the highway, Levi propped up against the window and watched as the scenery fled past him, letting out a sigh. Thinking about his subjects, Levi knew that the remaining semesters would not be easy as the end of the year was nearly approaching, which meant the amount of work he needed to submit for each unit would make one fear the life of a university student.

Thinking about the end of the year, another problem had been circulating for Levi.

Money.

With his current status as a student, he needed to find part-time work quickly.

Since the start of the year, Levi has been using his savings to accommodate his living expenses. He fears his only salvation will be rapidly drained if he does not find a job soon.

Dante, who had been quiet while concentrating on his task, looked away from the road momentarily as his eyes laid on Levi's serious face; smiling, Dante lifted his hand to brush Levi's back while asking.

"You've been quiet since we left. Are you alright?"

"Yeah, just thinking about stuff."

"About what."

"Nothing, just trivial matters."

"Are you sure? You were in deep thought that your face was scrunched up like a rabbit.""I promise; I just want to arrive quickly and return to our dorms to start my work. I have class first thing tomorrow morning, and the year's end is nearly approaching. I have a lot of units I still need to complete."

"Don't stress too much; we still have a few months left before submitting everything. Worrying about it now will only tire you, impacting your health."

"I see; pray tell me, doctor, what I should do so that my health is in perfect condition.""Well, for starters, you can listen to me as a student studying to become a famous doctor. Someday, I will be the one to monitor your health."

"Yes, doctor" laughed Levi

Dante listened to Levi's laughter as a smile formed on his face, entwining their fingers. Dante brought them to his lips and continued driving with one hand on the steering wheel towards their university.
