Run

    As soon as Jae heard the loud noise, she instantly felt unnerved. If not for the loud boom they had just heard, the look of everyone's faces gave her a clear sign that something was really wrong. She had never seen them so frightened. "They're here. We have to move. Now." Namjoon said, and they all sprung up at the same time. She was trying to stay calm. Jin had jumped out of her lap and shifted back, looking as alert as the others. As they all went outside, she saw nothing but chaos.

    Hybrids were panicking, grabbing their children and whatever they could carry and were all running in one direction away from a bright orange glow in the distance. It was huge, and it looked like it was floating closer and closer. She saw smoke rising from the treetops. There was a fire, and it was spreading unnaturally fast. Everyone was looking at it in horror. It was like they were all frozen in fear and uncertainty.

     She hadn't realized how loud it was outside until she heard Namjoon yelling, "We have to run. They found this place." Jae's blood turned to ice.The HHA. The smell of metal and burning wood filled her nose as she noticed the fire was starting to spread at an alarming rate.

    She could hear terrible screams of children and adults alike, as she saw something that scared her to her core. She saw a figure in a dark red shiny suit, with a gas mask covering their face, and in the person's hands was a flamethrower. It was by far the scariest thing she's ever seen.

    "Move! Don't look back!" Yoongi ordered, as he shifted and everyone else did too. Namjoon barked at her and somehow she knew what he wanted and she instantly jumped on his back. Jin had jumped on Yoongi's back while Jungkook and Hobi were on Jimin's. With Yoongi and Namjoon leading the way, and everyone else was almost matching his speed right beside them.

    Jae wondered if they were communicating at all, but she gripped onto Namjoon's fur tight, like her life depended on it.

    She started to notice the orange glow getting closer and she could still hear shouts of anger and fear coming from the residents. Then she heard rapid gunfire, followed by more screams. She wanted to shut everything out, she wanted to hide, but she couldn't. This was the reality for the hybrid species. This was her new reality, now that she was a part of a hybrid pack.

    She looked behind her and saw dark, familiar looking uniforms, as well as the soldier with the flamethrower. They were all wearing gas masks. There were hybrids on the ground, cowering in fear in surrender. She flinched as they were shot anyway.

    Her heart was beating a million miles a minute and she had never felt more fear than this moment. This was the HHA. Jae had never seen it first-hand, and she had been ignorant as to how bad they were until now.

    She saw that some of the trees ahead of them were dying, fire crawling up the sides and through the branches. She heard a creaking and Yoongi and Tae had to skid to a stop before the branch crashed down into the ground with a loud crack. The fire was so bright Jae almost had to shield her eyes. Yoongi immediately started running to the side to go around it and was met with two soldiers.

    Luckily, Tae jumped on one of them immediately with a loud roar. The other aimed right at Tae. Jae only blinked, and Jimin had taken him down before he could shoot. Their last screams blended in with the roaring fire in front of them. They kept moving, taking down anyone who was foolish enough to confront them alone, until there were gunshots coming from the thicket of trees on either side of them.

    Then all at once, matching all the gunshots were multiple soldiers in gask masks, like something straight out of a horror film. There were about twenty maybe more emerging from the trees, Jae couldn't really count. More shots were fired towards the bunch, and to Jae's horror she heard a snarl coming from below her. They were aiming at Namjoon's paws.
