it's time

You frown, prodding at the bite mark Dabi left on your neck last night. And the several hickeys he made sure were noticeable. Your costume slightly covers it but not enough. And it's not like you have makeup lying around for you to cover it up. It's embarrassing. You don't want the League to look at you like you're a whore. You're not. Right?

The bathroom door opens, letting Dabi step inside as you run your fingers across the bite. He smiles. Your face heats up as his arms wrap around your waist and he rests his chin on your shoulder. He kisses the bite gently, letting his teeth softly mimic where they sunk in last night. He likes to leave hickeys all over you. And he's been doing it almost every night for the past week, ever since he first kissed you. Luckily, you've been able to hide them better with your outfits but you can't with your villain costume.

"Mmm," he hums, smiling against your neck.

"People are going to notice."

"So? Let them notice."

"Won't I be a whore now?" you ask shyly.

He barks out a laugh. "You're right. You're such a naughty whore. My naughty whore."

You avert your gaze from him in the mirror in an act of submissiveness. He grips your jaw and forces you to look him, at the way he holds you, at the way his hand travels down your abdomen, at the way he kisses your jaw. You shudder when his lips touch the sensitive part behind your ear and that makes him smirk in response.

"So sensitive, are we?"

You shake your head. "I'm not sensitive."

"Then explain this," he says as his hand goes down the front of your jeans, but stays outside your underwear as he pushes a finger up, touching the apex of your thighs, making you gasp and grab onto his wrist for some support. He smiles. "That's what I thought."

You frown and pull his hand out as you turn around. "We have to go."

He shrugs. "We can have a quickie."

"I thought you wanted me to be able to walk."

He chuckles, brushing your hair back. "You're right. Can't have that now, can we?"

You shake your head and he smiles, tilting your chin up and dragging his thumb across your lips. You shut your eyes when he leans down, when he lips touch yours hungrily, when he pushes you back against the counter. You gasp, tugging at his hair. He smirks and takes your bottom lip between with him. You can't get enough of him. But at the same time, you're afraid to go further. Sure, about a week ago when he first kissed you, you wanted to go further. But you were so high off adrenaline and anger that you couldn't think about regrets. But now, now you're just insecure and you don't want him to see you. Not that he's pushed you very much. He's been the one saying how he needs you to walk. But you're wondering if it's all just a ploy. Maybe he doesn't want to go to the level with you. Maybe that's it.

He pulls away, still oh so close to you. Dabi never out right said you two were dating but he kisses you all the time, and since the first kiss, he sleeps in your room. He did before but he slept on that chair. Now, he crawls into bed with you every night. He's doing the same things, a few changes, but you don't want to assume because what if you're not. What if this is just a fling and he doesn't want to call you his or anything like that? What if he's not looking for anything long term.

"Where did this frown come from?" he asks.

You shake your head and sigh. "Nothing."

When you try to walk around him, he only snakes his arm around your waist and pulls you closer. "Nice try," he says. "What are you thinking up there?"

"That Shigaraki is probably mad we're running late," you whisper.

He chuckles and takes your hand. The two of you leave, with you questioning Dabi. You don't love him. Love is too strong of a word to describe how you feel. You're fond of him. You enjoy his company. You like being held by him. Maybe it is love. What do you know? You don't know love. The only love you know was from your parents and you don't have that relationship with Dabi. But you don't want to love him. Relationships have never been something you wanted completely. How can you give yourself up to someone like that? How can you be so vulnerable for someone? It's gives them the perfect opportunity to use you, betray you. So why do it? Why allow them that chance?

You've never dated. How could you? You were too much of a problem with too many issues to have a healthy and secure relationship. That and you're so afraid to fall in love because at any moment, they could be killed. At any moment, you could lose them. And you don't think you'd be able to handle losing someone you cared for. And thinking about losing Dabi, it makes your heart freeze. Sure, you'd have Shigaraki and Toga and maybe even Twice. But that can comfort you like Dabi. Dabi knows how touched starved you are. Dabi seems to know what you need. And sometimes that feels scary. How does he know so much? How can he know what you need? What you want?

The League is waiting in the bar, everyone dress and ready to go. Suddenly the reality of everything hits you. You're kidnapping a kid. A kid. He might have anger issues but that doesn't make it okay. And you can't stop it. How can you?

"Y/n," Shigaraki says, motioning you over to him. You let go of Dabi's hand and walk over to Shig, who takes you hand, leaving two fingers up so he doesn't hurt you. "Don't do anything stupid. Stay in your designated place. You'll be alone but you have your quirk so use it if you have to." He pulls out a button from his pocket and hands it to you. "Here. Click this if you're in trouble. Kurogiri will open a gate for you to come home."

Home. Come home. This is your home. These people around you are your family. They're closer to you than anyone has been in years. And they still don't know much about you. But, even if you hated it at first, you don't have a desire to leave. At least, it's not as consuming as it first was. There's a small buzz that's begging you to go and get help, to find a new life and hide from them. But there's this overwhelming need to stay. Because no one can make you feel so appreciated the way Toga can. No can hug you the way Kurogiri can. No one can be patient with you as they teach you something the way Shigaraki can. No one can laugh with you the way Twice can. No one can intoxicate you the way Dabi can. So why leave? Why not stay?

You take a deep breath and squeeze Shigaraki's hand. It'll be okay. What could possibly go wrong?
