Ed and her parents agreed to let her take the final exams, which were coming up anyways, before picking her up from Hogwarts and bringing her home.
She told Malorie and Lance about this, and they were very disappointed too.
But thankfully, three days before exams, Professor McGonagall made an announcement during breakfast.
"I have good news," she started.
But unlike the expected silence, many people started yelling out guesses of what they wanted the news to be.
"Professor Sprout has informed me that the Mandrakes are ready for cutting, and those who have been petrified will be revived tonight. I need hardly to say that one of them may be able to tell us who or what attacked them, and I am hopeful that we will catch the culprit soon," Professor McGonagall continued.
The Great Hall bursted with cheering, it was better news than any of them could have imagined.
Ed and her friends clapped and yelled loudly.
"Finally, this will all be over! And that means you can stay now!" Malorie said excitedly.
"Yes!!!!" Ed exclaimed.
Although she loved her family dearly, she would now be staying at her real home.

"Out of my way, Potter," Lucius muttered while pushing him out of the way with his cane.
He had made his way to the headmaster's office after the previous and eventful night in which Harry and Ron entered the chamber to save Ginny.
But he believed this did not give an excuse to allow Dumbledore to return to Hogwarts.
"So I see you've returned, even though the governors suspended you," he said in a condescending tone.
"Well, you see, the other governors contacted me requesting me to return once they heard Ginny Weasley was taken into the chamber," Dumbledore explained.
"Ridiculous," Lucius said back.
"Curiously, Lucius, several of them seemed to be under the impression that you would curse their families if they didn't sign for my removal."
"How dare you," he sneered.
"I beg your pardon?" stated Dumbledore.
"My concern has always been and will always be the welfare of this school and, of course, it's students," Lucius elaborated.
However, he had a different idea of "welfare" than Dumbledore- to him, it meant protecting the pureblood status.
"So, have you have caught the culprit then?" he asked, interested to see if Dumbledore had failed.
"We have indeed."
"Well, who was it?" Lucius asked anxiously.
Dumbledore hesitated for a moment, glanced at Harry, and then continued.
"The same person as last time. Only this time, he chose to act through somebody else by means of this," he said as he held up Tom Riddle's diary.
"I see," Lucius said, trying to sound surprised.
Meanwhile, Dobby, was trying to signal to Harry something, but Harry didn't quite know what.
"Fortunately, Mr. Potter discovered it," Dumbledore said, relieved.
"One hopes that no more of Lord Voldemort's old school things should find their way into innocent hands. The consequences for the one responsible would be severe."
