No one was thrilled that the holidays were now over, especially because Care of Magical Creatures required the fourth years to go outside in the foot-deep snow.

But instead of Hagrid teaching the class, there was someone different.

"My name is Professor Grubbly-Plank," a women started.

"Where's Hagrid?" Harry nearly shouted.

"He is indisposed," she replied shortly.

Malfoy and his friends started laughing softly as they walked over.

Ed wasn't very surprised to have a substitute—she had already heard many of Malfoy's snarky comments that indicated so.

"This way, please," said the Professor.

She led them past the Beauxbatons carriage into an open area, where a beautiful creature stood.

It was white as snow, with a glistening horn and majestic golden hooves.

"Boys, keep back! They prefer women's touch, unicorns. Girls to the front, and approach with care. Easy does it," instructed Professor Grubbly-Plank.

All of the girls moved forward, which left the rivals in the same vicinity.

"What d'you reckon's wrong with him? You don't think a skrewt-" Harry said to Ron.

"Oh, he hasn't been attacked, Potter, if that's what you're wondering," Malfoy interrupted.

"No, he's just too ashamed to show his big, ugly face," he chuckled.

"What do you mean?" Harry asked sharply.

Malfoy pulled out newspaper from his robes, which he had been carrying all day.

"There you go. Hate to break it to you, Potter," he smirked.

Harry snatched the paper out of Malfoy's hands, and was furious when he finished reading it.

"What d'you mean, 'we all hate Hagrid'?" He snapped.

"What's this rubbish about him, getting a bad bite off a flobberworm? They haven't even got teeth?" Harry yelled at Crabbe.

Crabbe chuckled, clearly proud of himself.

"Well, I think this should put an end to the oaf's teaching career. Half-giant... and there was me thinking he'd just swallowed a bottle of Skele-Gro when he was young. None of the mummies and daddies are going to like this at all... They'll be worried he'll eat their kids," he laughed.

"You-" Harry just about strangled Malfoy.

"Are you paying attention over there?" Professor Grubbly-Plank asked.

After that, she kept an eye on them, which meant neither Harry nor Malfoy could insult each other any further.

But of course, Malfoy would find other opportunities to bully Harry.

To be safe, he always did this when a teacher around.

"Missing your half-bred pal?" He whispered in Potions one day.

"Missing the elephant-man?"

Ed, who was sitting next to Malfoy, kicked him in the shin under the desk when she heard this.

"Hey!" He yelled.

"Quit insulting Potter and help me with the potion," she said.

"God, always telling me what to do, aren't you?" He chuckled.
