Be careful.
The words were clearly written on a small piece of parchment paper sitting on Ed's desk.
She had no idea what this meant, but because it was sent from Malfoy, it must've been serious.
They had been writing to each other all summer about the Quidditch World Cup, which was coming up soon.
After Ed convinced them, her family decided that it would be fun to go. Although, Mr. Koldings made them promise to always be aware of the surroundings (he was always like this, but Ed was used to it).
They were also going to be accompanied by Lance and Malorie's families, which meant Ed and her friends couldn't wait.
In fact, they were talking about Quidditch non-stop while flying to the stadium, which was conveniently located in Devon. It was just a 45 minute broom flight from Malorie's house, where the families had gathered through Floo Powder a couple of hours earlier.
"Who do you think is going to win?" Lance asked anxiously.
"I think Ireland is," he added.
"But Bulgaria has Krum," Malorie argued.
"I don't know, they both seem really good," Ed commented.
They arrived at the campground soon enough and were checked in by a muggle. Thankfully, the camp sight tickets were cheap. The Koldings family could hardly afford the expensive Quidditch tickets, but they made it work.
Once they walked in, hundreds of people had already set up tents and decorations, it was miraculous.
Everywhere they looked was either covered in scarlet or green—the team colors of Ireland and Bulgaria.
They soon started walking to find a place to camp, and on the way there were amazing tents to look at. One of them was even covered in silk fabric and had live peacocks. It looked like a castle.
The families ended up finding a few spots near the forest, where it wasn't so crowded.
But unlike the Blights and McCoys, the Koldings family set up a muggle tent, not a magical one.
"Hey, Ed, Lance and I are going to go walk around, want to come?" Malorie asked Ed as she popped her head into their small tent.
"Sure! Mum, can I go?" Ed asked Mrs. Koldings, who was setting up a cot.
"Only if an adult goes with," she responded.
"Lance's mum is taking us," Malorie added.
"That's fine with me then, just be careful," said Mrs. Koldings.
"Okay!" Ed agreed.
After Ed and Malorie made their way out of the tent and went next door to meet up with Lance and Mrs. McCoy, the group set off.
There were people everywhere from all over the world, of all different cultures, which fascinated Ed.
It was amazing how many people there were, even if they were just there to sell things.
"Look at all those souvenirs!" she said excitedly.
Naturally, the friends ran over to the cart and bought some flags and hats to support Ireland.
A little while later, they ran into some classmates.
"Hey, McCoy!" someone yelled from a distance.
It was Zabini, who was standing next to Nott... and none other than Draco Malfoy.
"Mum, I'll be right back," Lance informed Mrs. Blight.
