Chapter 44

Aditya let Zoya sleep and he was pacing up and down thinking about Zoya's childhood and her parents' death. He never thought Zoya was scarred so much but the same time he understood why Zoya was so stubborn and strong-headed. Everything was clear to him now and he felt that it's high time for him to give Zoya a normal and peaceful life as Arjun said.

Aditya was determined to erase that painful past and bring back happiness in Zoya's life. If he is going to go against his father and going to start everything fresh then he has to do some base work. He took out his laptop and checked his savings. He has never used his Director's remuneration that he receives every month from the company. Forming a business on his own was his goal but his father never allowed him to do anything on his own.

He felt so blessed that he got to follow his dream finally because of Zoya and for Zoya. He called Mr. Gupta once he answered the call, he said, "Hello Mr. Gupta, sorry to trouble you at this hour". Gupta laughed and said, "Oh! Come on, Aditya, you can call me anytime. Now, tell me how you are?" Aditya said, "I'm fine, Mr. Gupta. I called you to ask you for a favor".

He smiled and said, "I'm listening". Aditya hesitated but then said, "Mr. Gupta, I wanted to start a new business on my own, I think, I have enough funds to set up the business and for the ground work. But as you know it's not easy to start something fresh just like that... I need your help in forming my business and bringing it up..."

"Aditya whatever help you need from my side, you'll get it. I know you have the potential to turn the sand into gold and I'll definitely help you to build your business", Mr. Gupta said. "Thank you so much, Mr. Gupta", Aditya said. "Can I ask you something, Aditya?" Mr. Gupta asked. "Yes..." he said. "When you came to my office to sign the deal, you told me that you don't have any idea of leaving your father's company. What changed in between that you wanted to start off a new business?" He asked.

Aditya sighed and said, "Let's just say I found my callings... I wanted to give my wife what she deserves..." Mr. Gupta said, "It's like they say everything changes when a woman dominates a man's life". Aditya snorts and said, "It's not like that... She deserves a normal life... She has been fighting all her life... Even after marrying me she has been fighting to find a place in my family... I mean my dad... Now all I wanted is to give her a normal life after everything she has gone through..."

"That's... that's a bouncer for me" Mr. Gupta said and added, "I appreciate the effort you're putting and I believe you love her so much... And she is so lucky to have you".

"Thank you, Mr. Gupta and yes, I love her but I'm lucky to have her in my life", Aditya said with a smile. "Okay... Aditya, you drop by my office with your business plans and we can discuss on that", Mr. Gupta said. "Sure Mr. Gupta, I'll drop by in another two to three days..." Aditya said. "Okay... I'll see you then, Good night", Mr. Gupta said. "Good night to you too..." Aditya said and disconnect the call.

Aditya made few more calls to the people he trusts and then he started to work on his new business plans. "Aditya", he heard a low and soft voice. He hurried next to Zoya, "Hey, Baby... I'm here", he said as he sat next to her on the bed.

"Where were you? And what are you doing?" Zoya asked in low voice. He brushed the hair strands from her face and said, "I had some work to finish..." he paused and asked, "Baby, are you okay?"

Zoya nodded and said, "But, I'm so hungry..." Aditya smiled and said, "Okay... You stay here... I'll bring you something to eat". Just then, Zoya tried to throw up and Aditya asked, "Hey Baby... Are you alright?" Zoya again coughed and feels her stomach-turning. "I'm feeling sick, may be because of empty stomach", Zoya said.
